Mechpro Blue 1700kg Low Profile Trolley Jack $59 at Repco

170

"Introductory" offer of $59, which for a 1700kg low profile jack is not too bad.

I think it is basically a rebranded version of Daytona and Renegade jacks.

I asssume no jack fluid included so budget for that too.

      THAT'S NOT HYDRAULIC FLUID!

IT'S LUBE FOR VAGINAL AND ANAL SEX!

IF SOMEBODY PUTS THAT IN THERE THEY COULD GET A SERIOUS INJURY

      My favourite jack fluid

    • It is no fun. Please take seriously thinking when you recommend any safety related things. Some one may get injured if purchased.

  • Repco had a lot of decent discounts last week

How can it be sold as a working jack, if it can't jack (without buying something extra)?

    • +4

Same as a toy that needs batteries? A lawnmower that needs petrol? A tap that needs water? A light that needs power?

Hmmm…. I see your point. But MOST people would expect your omissions.

I would not expect hydraulic fluid to be missing from a jack. Would most people expect the fluid to be missing?

    • It most definitely can. Idk what OP is on about..

I agree, wtf is jack fluid?

That's a windowmaker. Better to drop an extra $50 than have a car parked on your chest.

I got some of the good kick and fall jack stands they had on sale for fathers day. All good.

    • +2

Yeh - make them windows !

    • for changing tyres maybe still safer than the scissor jack at the boot?

      • The cup is very small which can cause damage to the jacking point. OEM windowmaker jacks are designed specifically to fit the jacking point.

  • Looks like they're getting rid of them due to it's 2016 safety certification.

Since when do trolley jacks not come with hydraulic oil?

    • +1

Depends on the type, I’ve bought them without oil before.
