Any ideas people of what to buy?

    • +1

console related accessories, games and carpet cleaners

    • +14

Try buying nothing if you can't think of anything

    • ps5

    • Bought my first Switch! Who knows when it will get here though…

  • I can’t find a list of exclusions. Anyone know?

    • I want to know what the exclusions are too

    • +1

I just bought something now, the discount shows up when you checkout with LatitudePay so I assume if you don't see the discount before you accept the payment plan then that item is excluded.

      • May I kow what is the vaue appeared in the Harvey's invoice? Is it full price or the dicusnted value?

        • +1

Full price in the Harvey Norman email invoice.

LatitudePay payment plan also mentions the full price and that the discount has been applied which reduces the outstanding amount by $50.

      • +1

I actually called latitudepay before I placed my order with TGG. They told me there were no exclusions as far as they knew.

  • +2

There is a full list of stores here

    • Cheers - looks like TGG has the same offer!

  • brings the nokia 5.3 down to $279 https://www.harveynorman.com.au/nokia-5-3-64gb-charcoal.html but even then it's not mind blowing

  • +7

Just remember that this will appear on your credit history in case you are planning to take up some loan in near future.

    • +2

not if you're a latitude customer.

      • +1

in which case you are suffering enough

          28 Degrees card holder ;)

          • +3

@PissLUR: me too, and I make the most of it - got price protection payout just last week :)

            • @wallet72: U need to pay 5% for price protection, isn't it? Thanks

              • @Bargain-er: that sounds about right, but considering that 5% covers price protection as well as repair or replace insurance it's worth it.

          • @PissLUR: Wait - so am I but I'm not registered with Latitude Pay … Do I need to register?

          • @PissLUR: So you register using the website or app, and did you had to do id check (driving license or passport)?

      • @sayuv

You making it sound like that's a negative. Why would it be?

        • +3

Not negative - just few more questions when you apply for loan. I faced the same when I applied for home loan pre approval, they asked questions like how much was the amount, any amount outstanding, is there a credit limit etc. So, just stating to create awareness as I didnt fuly undestand the implications at the time I took the buy now pay later route.

      • I have a Creditline card, so that means I won't need an extra hit on the ol credit history if I apply for Latitude Pay?

      • This is not correct.
We have a gem card and have for years. When we got lattitudepay they did a credit check.

        • Correction they don’t do credit check if you exisiting. Well that’s new…..

          • +1

@jimbobaus: yeah i just found out myself too. check credit savvy and there was a hit on mine..

            back in May 2020.

        BIG QUESTION

IS LP STILL ELIGIBLE FOR PP??? DID I ASK BEFORE

      • I am an existing 28 Degrees card holder and I got checked.

I signed up via Harvey Norman rather than the email I was sent, my limit is also $500 instead of $1000.

        Sigh.

    • nothing wrong for it to appear on credit. just inform your bank.. do the transaction, get the free money and close the account

  • Google Home $79 x2 + postage

    • overpriced to begin with

  • +2

Anyone knows if you can partially pay with gift cards for your order? Eg. A phone that costs $800, paying $500 with a gift card and $300 with Latitude to get the discount.

    • +1

You can do that in-store. Not sure about online.

  • +6

Just got one PS5 3D Pulse Headset for $109. Thanks

    • Great idea, done the same

    • is it backwards compatible with PS4? Prob is, just without using the exclusive next gen tech?

  • Do you still pay their (Latitude's) ridiculous $6.95 Monthly account keeping fee?

    • +3

No fee unless you don't make a payment

      • I pay a "ACCOUNT SERVICE FEE -$5.95" and always make more than the min payment every month and on time??

This is with a Latitude Go MasterCard are these not the same things?

        • latitude pay?

          • @PissLUR: Sorry my mistake! I just saw Latitude and I had just paid my monthly balance off, so assumed this was the same.

I would say I need more coffee but that's not true!

        • Latitude pay is not the same as Latitude Card
Latitude Pay splits your purchases into 10 equal payment the first one due on the spot and absolutely no charges as long as you pay on time not even 50 cents will be charged

          • @paloverde88: Thanks, I wasn't aware of LPay

I have enough of those services as it is, don't even like having a credit card :)

            • +1

@beebul: They are under the same name, so I think the pay is aiming at the small amount (less then $1000) and card is for the large amount repayment. Similar to Zippay and Zipmoney.

  • +11

$150 PSN credit (3x$50) is working for the discount :D

EDIT: Oh cool, they pretty instantly email these to you also. With the need to input physical addresses I thought they'd mail out the actual cards.
    Even better.

    • Nice - free $50!

    • +1

      Thanks for the tip! I ended up getting Cyberpunk 2077 [PS4] pre-order + $80 PSN credit ($50 + $30 digital cards) all for $109, so Cyberpunk 2077 came to just $29 ;)

      • +1

        Nice!
I was eyeing off the Cyberpunk Day 1 edition too I have to admit.

At the end of the day though I figure games eventually go on sale with time, but getting that much store credit for what equates to more or less 33% off is pretty unprecedented and too hard to pass up.

        • I also went for Cyberpunk 2077, as well as a new Xbox controller. Except I stuffed up and ordered Cyberpunk for PC instead of Xbox. Hopefully that isn't a pain to correct, and doesn't affect the $50 promotion.

          • @puffinfresh: No go. They are cancelling the order, which will take 2-5 days. So even if I could use the offered again after it has been cancelled, the promotion will have expired by then.

It also turns out I could have price matched the controller and saved another $12. Oh well, I'm just as happy not to buy either.

    • Where is this? I can only find $30 PSN cards at HN.

    • hmmm 2 copies of Cyberpunk for PC ($78) with $50 discount… $53 each, go halves with a friend :)

      • Or, buy one Xbox copy and swap it with the PC version that I accidentally bought

  • +2

Can I pay with Latitude Pay if I request to pricematch (looking at getting Airpods)?

  • so we can avail only one offer at any one retailer?

  • +3

A Braun 5190CC razor for $119 is a good deal. Better than TGG offer of $135+ postage yesterday. Just bought one

    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/braun-series-5-men-shaver-wi…

  • Wow..10 weekly instalments, basically design for you to not be able to keep track, so they can charge you $10 late fees for each.
I prefer AfterPay as you only do 4 fortnightly instalments.

    • +2

You prefer four chances of late fees than 10? Good choice, I prefer no chances and just buy with cash.

It’s funny how the more financing a finance company provides and you complain.

    • +2

Do you know how we pay 10 weekly instalments? Latitude will be auto deduct from our credit card provided or we need to manually pay every weeks? Thank you.

      • +7

Auto deducts from your nominated credit card. Will only bounce if you have insufficient funds. Only then will they charge fees. They even send a reminder email to make sure you have funds available. Latitude Pay actually seem to operate pretty fairly for an industry with a reputation for predatory practices.

        • +1

          Thank you for your infor.

        • Latitude Pay can be paid with credit card? That's nice.

      • +3
    • +3

I'm new to this service also but it looks like you can just pay it all back immediately? That's what I plan to do rather than do the payment plan thingy.
Will likely only ever use this again if similar promotions pop up.

    • Payments are automatically deducted from your CC - so no late fees unless you are a moron.

    • So in other words you think using this comes with no benefits and you cannot keep up with your own payments?
How do you pay rent or petrol etc?
People need to learn how to budget, if not then don't blame Latitude for your lack of tracking.
You can top up payments once a fortnight which means you get 5 bi monthly payments instead of 4 bi monthly like AP offer.

  • +1

Can you buy a gift card?

  • +2

With a master/visa, you can join latitude pay for fomo promotions 8/9 Oct.
    https://www.latitudepay.com/offers/fomo-promo-birthday-editi…
    harvey/goodguys spend 150 get 50 back, catch spend 75 get 25 back…
You have to pay full not gift card, I bought a catch 365 mobile plan last time 89-8.9(uniday?)-25=55.1, latitude pay split it into 5 subpayments, 55.1/5=11.02

  • Thanks Op but I am a Latitude pay customer so already had a heads up from Latitude Pay that their retailers will be having a birthday bash since last week.
However did not expect it to be so good.
Similar offer at The Good Guys for $50 off for $150 and over for Lattitude Pay
However stingy Bing Lee has no offer whatsoever, not even 2% off.
    - so bought Huawei Watch fit which was $249 everywhere in Australia then it became $199!

    • I need the boss to go from the good guys. Is this offer also working there?

  • with this offer you have to be a Latitude Pay customer and you must use Latitude pay

  • Hi guys, is there anything worth $1-$2, needs to make it up to $150 lolz?

  • Can $150 include the postage ?

    • Most likely, yes. Before you confirm payment the $50 is automatically applied so you can verify there and then to see if postage is included.

  • +1

Works on Series S if anyone wanted $50 off.

  • +2

If you pay with latitude pay, you can't use the price protection from 28°, right?

    • +1

If you pay off ur latitude pay with 28 then no harm giving it a try, but I wont have high hopes.

      • Can you really do this? Pay a credit with another credit? I haven't enrolled to latitude pay (although I may be tempted since they don't do any additional credit check) so not sure how it works

        • You certainly can, and it is the same with zip/afterpay. Just make sure ur card issuer does not classify it as a cash advance and charge you an exorbitant fee.

    • I've done it successfully, go for it!

    • As far as i know price protection got some 5% fee from credit card so most likely no.

      • You can always pay the balance off before the statement date. And pay $0.

  • I already have a 28 degrees mastercard, trying to set this up but its saying they may do a credit check again? is that right? i havent set up LatitudePay before but have a card with them

    • +1

No credit check required for existing 28 degrees mastercard holder, you should receive an email offer about that.

    • This is from the email "As a valued Latitude 28° Global Platinum Mastercard® customer, there's no need for an ID or credit check, so getting started with LatitudePay is easier!"
Except if they've got several statuses of valued customer (sorry :-p)

      • +1

Perhaps they do… This is what I received

"As a valued Latitude 28° Global Platinum Mastercard® customer, you're invited to try LatitudePay and get access to our 2-day only FOMO PROMO Sale that's now on!

How does $50 off when you spend $150 or more sound? A free gift with your purchase? Free shipping? Just to name a few.*

Hurry, these unmissable deals ends midnight Friday 9th October."
