Howdy!

We have a few hundred of the M93p's again that have become available.

Not as good as previous deals, but the size and configuration of these little fella's make great options for plex servers or Nan's PC.

I've added a few variations if people want to spec the units a little different.

Lenovo Tiny M93p
Core i5 4570t 2.9Ghz
8GB RAM
500GB HDD

I love these little computers, they are so adorable. I just want to give it a hug.

  • i like these too.

can you do one without hdd?

    • sorry mate, they are sold with the HDD.

  • Do they have WiFi?

    • -5

      Ethernet only.

    • Yes, WiFi and Bluetooth inbuilt.

      • Who is down voting this?

I literally have one of these on my desk me or has WiFi and Bluetooth…

        • +2

No mention of wifi in description, only ethernet. No mention of bluetooth either.

Ebay is cutting off the end of some of the options (for me at least), what are the '8Gb Ram + 500Gb HDD + 2.4Ghz U…' and '8Gb Ram + New 120Gb SSD + 2.4G…' options? Thanks.

    • +2

It's wifi mate, must be a character limit.

      • Thanks

Is the Wifi option just a dongle? Is Bluetooth Inbuild like magicmoose said above?

        • usb dongle

  • So youve previously sold the exact same thing with an ssd instead for the same price….? is there a reason for the price rise?

    • +1

last units had used SSD's in them as they were configured that way. This batch if a SSD is required we will install a new one.

      • Shouldn't these be cheaper then.

        • +10

I would argue that a 500gb HDD would be equivalent to a 120 SSD. Even if there was a price difference because of the two, it would be negligible and not worth worrying about.

When I bought one of these previously, I ripped out the HDD anyway and replaced it with a 1TB SSD.

    No HDMI output.

    • +7

they have Displayport Out. u just need an adaptor to hdmi

    • +2

DisplayPort to HDMI adaptors are cheap and work well.

These guys are great. Had a unit that developed a fault after a few months and they replaced it.

I got this one from them with a ssd: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HP-EliteDesk-800-G1-USDT-i5-4570…

great little unit, but not as small as the one posted above

I bought one of these and it worked well as a media server. Upgraded it to run FreeNas and didnt suit my purposes anymore as you cant fit multiple hard drives in there.

But highly recommend these as a Plex server.

    • +1

Seconded, these ex-corp machines make great Plex servers. I had a Optiplex with a i7 4770 for a while till I upgraded to a SFF Precision with an i7-6700 about a year ago, both have/area brilliant for this.

Can you please clarify, does the $199 come with Wifi?

    • No, but there is an option to add it for extra

    • Just by a $10 wifi usb

  • Any deal on 4790t?

  • +3

These are great. I use display port (supports QHD) and VGA (FHD) for a nice dual monitor setup. Runs Manjaro.

  • Possibly 'simple' question, but conflicting info on the interwebs…; If I got one of these and wanted to swap out to a new drive, how does the Windows Pro licensing work? Do you need to clone to new drive, or can you simply install Win10 from scratch and use the COA sticker - or something similar?

    • +1

Should have Win10 activated by the motherboard.
Changing the drive would normally be no problem. Have done this many times. But you will need to do a full install of Windows after the install of the hdd/sdd.
Or could clone if you prefer.

      • thanks!

  • Have one of these with the exact same specs which runs as a Plex server running on Ubuntu. Has worked flawlessly.

    • +1

Ha, my exact question answered. Thank you.

  • Hey @Calmago do you have a Versa mount for these little guys?

  • +2

Can it play 4k movie smoothly?

  • Just think if these had two network ports or more, perfect little router :D

    • or better - pfsense.

  • Worth noting these are only dual core processors, and pretty slow compared to a standard desktop Intel Core i5, especially when paired with a 500gb hard drive. Unless you really need the tiny size, get a Dell Optiplex 9020 instead, which has twice the CPU power and costs about the same, if not less.

  • If they have gigabit ethernet…. hehehe

  • Anything similar with gen 7 proc or higher for reasonable price?
