  • How does this compare to the Westinghouse WSF6608KXA. Was just about to pull the trigger untill I saw this deal…

Bosch Series 8 not on sales?

    • Series 8 not on eBay . Cant belive that you would get the series 8 for $1100 off ebay previously.

  • I got series 8 back in Sept 2018 from good guys ebay on 20%off sale for $1118. Cant believe white goods prices are gone high in this pandemic.

  • Looks like a good deal in these tough times for whitegood pricing - thanks OP!

Can you elaborate on how/why the linked SMS66MI02A fits in an extra cutlery drawer when it looks the exact same size as the two other models posted, which do not have it? What is the trade off given the pricing is nearly identical?

    • +4

Sure, you are spot on, they have identical internal dimensions. So the cutlery drawer sacrifices headspace above your middle rack (or top rack on the non drawer versions), so the trade off with the cutlery drawer is you lose some head room. Now the middle rack has 3 adjustable heights, we use the middle setting and it have no issue with room, the benefit is it means you don't need to put the cutlery basket in the bottom which allows more room for plates, saucepans etc

        Outstanding synopsis.

        Many, many thanks.

        • I have the series 4 with the cutlery tray, and now can't go back to without tray models.

      • Does it have a sprinkler arm on the top of the machine?

I have very old Miele with the cutlery drawer and really like it. Miele got three sprinkler arms - on in the bottom, one order the middle basket and one on the top above cutlery tray.

Some comments here in another deal mentioned not every machine with cutlery tray got a dedicated sprinkler arm for it.

Yes it has a small sprinkler head on top

  • I'm looking to upgrade but can see that some dishwashers are "freestanding" and others are "under bench".
If my dishwasher needs to be under a bench but the dimensions of that space is suitable for a "freestanding" dishwasher, is it still compatible or do I need to choose from the "under bench" options only?

    • Yeah generally the norm is to have freestanding dishwashers go under the bench, just means you have a little bit of clearance around the top and side, under bench requires your joinery be tight to the dishwasher

      • Thanks donkcat.
        Good to know.

  • We got our fully integrated Series 6 finally delivered from zee Germans last week. Very impressed, admittedly our last dishwasher was a POS but this dishwasher is amazing so far.

  • We have had this diswasher for a few months now. It has a stainless steel tub (inside) so they tend to last longer and heat up better (for quicker drying) I didnt realise many stainless steel dishwashers were only stainless on the outside rather than the inside.

Super quiet… Only downside I would say is the racks for plates can be a bit limiting (spacing) if you have oversize (high sided) plates and bowls…

  • I also have a series 6 not the exact model with nothing else but praise.

The only thing missing is a built-in fan for drying.

    • Wait, what do you mean "no fan for drying"?
Does it dry the dishes after the wash?

      • Some higher end model from other manufacturers such as Asko have a fan inside circulating air to dry the dishes after the wash

  • Thanks OP :)

Those if you who bought free standing SMS66MI02A, is it possible to remove the 3rd cutlery drawer level and use cutlery basket instead?

    • +1

      Yes you can

Phew thanks for confirming cause I just bought it. Good to have both as an option
