  • Reminder that selected Starbucks by Nescafe Dolce Gusto Coffee Pods 12 Capsule are still $5 ($4.50 with S&S).

Thanks, I tried these at $5ea in a supermarket sale and liked them so I've stocked up! They're made by Nespresso so you can recycle them the same as how you recycle the normal pods.

Woolies online only deals have offered the same price as Amazon atm.

  • They taste terrible tbh. I usually buy them from Coles coz they are so cheap but prefer the nespresso store blends lol

  • They taste like dirt, worst coffee ever

    • +1

Hint of earthy aromas or just plain old dirt?

      • Well, I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. I mean, not that fancy, store-bought dirt. That stuff's loaded with nutrients. I can't compete with that stuff.

      • They are excellent and very close to original Starbucks .. and he earthy flavour gives them a body u don’t have in other Nespresso varieties. It doesn’t get any better than this if you use Nespresso capsules but if u like a weaker brew do not buy this.

    • All of them or a particular flavour?

I did see that same description in one of the reviews.

      • Everyones different. I don't mind them. Better than instant and your 7-11 $1 coffee. The whole dirt thing is a bit of hyperbole.

        • did you mean hyperspace or hibernate?

    bought 2 yesterday , only $4 with s&s

  • I've tried a couple of these… hit and miss. The two of note are:

    • House blend: Tastes like someone blendered a house.
    • Single origin Colombian: Really really nice - I stock up on these whenever they're on sale.
  • Can anyone reccomend a nespresso (or compatible) machine? I only drink espresso so it doesn't need to do anything else. Thanks

    • Get the cheapest one that is nespresso approved. I have the citiz, it's got the milk frother, larger water tank and capsule disposable tray. Having a larger tray and tanks does help with convenience, but the coffee quality is the same.

      • Thank you, ill look into that one.

        • Essenza mini solo seems to be the cheapest in their current line up. Only downside is its smaller capacity, but not a big issue if you're not a heavy user. I drink a few cups a day and usually in the lungo serving size so a larger tank and capsule bin is useful for my needs.

    • I like the Lavazza ones, intensity 12.

I'm a fan of the L'Or Barista. It takes Nespresso pods. And there's a deal on it at the moment (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/573758). Can't beat it.

      • Thanks for that. I actually pulled the trigger on that one about an hour ago, so it's great to see more positive feedback on it.

Good to hear. We got it the last time it was free too, and its been brilliant.

  • Bought the single origin a while back and it tasted terrible! I prefer my L'or over this crap any day.

Bought three of those before, worst nespresso capsule I've ever tried. Well it's personal preferance but many comments here confirmed.

It was $4.00 yesterday with S&S

Absolutely no reason to buy these when L'OR are often on sale for $4 (10 pk). Tried these once and regretted it instantly.
