I had the worst experience with Menulog last week when they did the free delivery for KFC

order came late, and was missing items, so they gave me a $5 credit for my next order.

So the next day I try to use it and order some lunch from Parramatta, waited a hour and 10 mins, and the app still says its trying to find a driver for my order!!!!!!!!

why the F would you let people order when you clearly don't have drivers in the area. call them up, and their oversea call centre was completely useless. Ended up speaking to someone in their Sydney office, and had everything refunded back to my account, and cooked my own lunch.

deleted menulog off my phone, and will be just sticking with other delivery services.

Yes you might save $6 delivery, but it might leave you starving and angry at the end of the day…

      did somebody say… menulog!
snoop dogg why oh why did this have to happen ?

    • -2

Lol if you are getting this mad it's affecting your day there is a deeper issue my friend. :) at least it's better than door dash who kept leaving fliers in my mailbox when they don't service my area… :)

    • +1

Similar experience. Ordered Maccas took 50 mins. Wasn't cold, but dang I was marvin. Ubereats, same location took 5 mins.

    • +2

Yep exact same thing happened to me.. Including call centre that had no clue, with menulog i only order from restaurants that use their own driver.. Otherwise expect a long wait or never get it…

    • +3

Menulog does not manage delivery drivers. So the service itself has a flaw and Customers have to endure their incomplete service. For my case, A delivery driver accepted my order and fled. Of course, Menulog refunded it though.

      • +2

Yeah I've found the drivers in general for menulog are very low quality.
You'll get decent ones here and there but I've had more bad experiences over good ones with them so far.

        • Try ordering via Menulog in London… 9 different drivers rejected my order and after 2hrs of fruitless waiting (and the shop closing) they forced a bike driver to deliver it literally across London bridge…

  • +5

Well, the last time, My Menulog driver reversed into my planter box…. I have nothing else to say.

    • You think that’s bad. I had an Uber eats driver drive into my garage door. They forgot they were in drive instead of reverse. I lock my gate now.

      • Who won: the garage door, or the car?

        • Both caved in. Lucky he was driving an old Toyota and my garage door was already dinted.

  • +4

Last time the menulog driver helped himself to my meal. Marked it as delivered by never actually arrived. Online Tracker didnt move from where they picked the meal up lol

    • +2

exact same thing happened to me the first time I used the app. Called up customer service half hour after it was meant to be delivered, the driver apparently marked it as delivered 1 minute after picking up the food. The status of the app was still showing "delivering" the entire time. Haven't used the app since

If he posted his hack on ozbargain then I'd upvote him

What if they have poo fingers when touching your food. Hep A from a food handler is what killed the gay guy from Are You Being Served, apparently.

      • +2

        That escalated quickly…

        • It’s absolutely true according to his Wikipedia.

A stranger touching your food is really foul.

          • @AustriaBargain:

A stranger touching your food is really foul

I'm going to play the jv's advocate and say: KFC is really fowl

      • +1

Sure. That’s where he caught hep from. =\

      • If someone got food poisoning and contracted Hep A from McDonalds I can only imagine how big the (profanity) settlement payout would be, also the headlines.

    • At least my last driver had the decency to cancel the order after he picked it up so it wouldn't charge me before he tucked into my meal :P

  • +3

It seems as if Ketchup is free without having to order anything else. And there's no maximum order amount.

    • I brought this up with menulog support after ordering 99 ketchup packets: They just mark the order as complete and don't even flag a driver. They essentially said "We'll investigate this further thanks for bringing it to our attention"

They could easily fix the fake orders by making the minimum spend 1 cent.

      • +1

        Negged by McDonald's workers.

      • +3

99 sauce and 1 ice cream cone. Profit.

        • +1

"Yeah I got the ice cream but no toppings?"

  • I've done 2 delivery orders with Menulog and never received them.

  • Can you get the donut McFlurry? Or is that only in uber eats?

  • +1

Appears to have a $25 minimum spend at my local. What’s the asterisk on free delivery on the image?

    • +1

Might be certain locations? Mine is $25 minimum too.

      • It's all locations and all delivery services/apps. So pick whoever you prefer and use: MACCASDELIVERY

  • +3

Seems like theres lots of bad experiences with menulog, but its always been great for me. Stopped using uber as I was having the same issues people are having with menulog. Guess it depends on the drivers in your area

    • +1

I once had a good run with Menulog too. Mark my words you will eventually have issues.

      • I've had plenty of issues with doordash and ubereats, somehow menulog in my area tends to be great, so I imagine it's each to their own.

I think it's because the drivers hang around a restaurant area near me (that also has a maccas there). I ordered today, within 5 minutes it was saying the driver was there to pick up my food and since he apparently didn't hit traffic I had it at my door in just over 15 minutes.

  • Thnx op.

  • +5

Free delivery… but prices inflated to hell.

    • What about the mchappy day deals, double Big Mac etc?

  • Thought its a free mac

  • Just last night the girlfriend was telling me her best friend had McDonalds delivered, the bag was open and chips/burgers missing.
I was trying to work out who she’d contact.
Reading through this i’d steer clear of the service full stop if you could call it that.
I used Ubereats once and it was fine….

  • Honestly the only way to guarantee you don't get your food stolen is to order one or two items at most. Do not tempt them with bag fries.

    • +1

This can’t be for real can it, drivers aren’t routinely peeling the sticker off the paper bag and stealinh food are they?

  • OP, please remove the logo before Scott is served with a C&D.

  • I've had plenty of problems with Menulog, but none with bad drivers (unless all my drivers really like onion rings).

The only reason I stick with them is really that they're covered by Cashrewards, although they also seem to be more expensive than UberEats most of the time, so maybe I should reconsider.

    • It's free delivery on all apps for McDonalds if you spends over $25 so pick who you prefer. Just use: MACCASDELIVERY

  • -8

$25 min spend for my local :(

    • Is that a reason to downvote the deal? Because u have to spend $25…

      • +1

Imagine downvoting on a charity day. What a massive [profanity].

        • -1

Lucky for u this aint a charity day but free delivery… what the profanity

  • Never did see those free HJ drinking glasses that were supposed to be my last delivery order…

    • Me either. :(

  • The issues as stated here is a worry, I've only used Menulog twice, for the KFC free delivery so far, and that was my 1st using any service like this.
The 2nd order did take awhile thou.
Something I'll consider from now on.

I live in Box Hill so not a lot of choice fast food wise that I like, apart from a few fried rice places & Subway & Domino's Pizza.
    Nene chicken is nice thou.

    • Box Hill not alot of fast food places.. are u serious box Hill has like 30 joints serving takeout half the box Hill centre is filled with food joints

      • Not the box hill near me , there is (profanity) all

    • A few fried rice places? Lol

    • I did say that I liked.
I'm not into all the noodle/hotpots/soup/sushi/etc that there are heaps of yes.

I do wish there is a Fish & Chips shop closer than a 10 min bus trip.

  • Free delivery at Cremorne and Chatswood ones. NSW

    • It's free delivery on all apps for McDonalds if you spends over $25. Just use: MACCASDELIVERY

  • Interesting reading the comments.
Menulog has a few logistic issues, can leave me waiting an hour but I've never had a bad driver (one that went to the wrong house but that was an honest mistake).
    Doordash is a joke though.

  • Prices super inflated, better off driving there if you can.

    • +2

In store prices super inflated, better off making your own burgers if you can.

  • Ive opened the app 3 times today several hours apart and everytime has said my local Macca's aren't taking any deliveries right now.

Had no issue with the KFC offer. Not that I was likely to order anything at above full menu price..was more curious how much it would cost above the menu price.

  • +1

I got my order last night, the large chips I ordered was barely a medium amount, so I will complain.
Oddly the last 3 drivers were in cars not using scooters/e ebikes.

  • +1

    Ordered it last night.
    Arrived over 1.5 hours late.
    Burger was wrong.
    Everything cold.

  • Seems like this is back again today on Menulog.
