This box looks distinctly like the new Europe and USA Wii which omits GameCube support, including GameCube controller ports. Check the box before buying to be sure.
I'd personally buy one of the cheaper "clearance" Wii consoles and keep those ports. There is no advantage to the new unit (except for reduced manufacturing costs for Nintendo).

Nice black balance board. You can pick up wii Sport for as little as $10-15 in some stores or via ebay if it's not included.
Nice deal if your after the balance board. Does anyone know what the cheapest price for a wii on its own with a wii remote plus? I'm considering buying a wii again (sold mine long ago) just to play skyward sword.

You can get clearance ones for as cheap as $100 but thats more lucky with finding one. grab a second hand one perhaps?
Nintendo are genius…release Skyward Sword just in time for Xmas and a few months out from the release of their new console - nice way to move the last batches of Wii!
