Great minds think alike…as far as the $99 goes anyway.

Who would knowingly buy this unpopular, disabled tablet for $285?

Proprietary OS, no email support or calender or other key stuff.

      And virtually no apps.

Another one for the Bunny Market.

        Aren't all apps virtual?

        • I see what you did there

Except for the Android player, that plays Android apps. That's kinda handy.

everyone's waiting for the Firesale !

    • Halleluyah!

Ooops…thought you were talking about the Messiah.

  • OS is a big problem.

  • Come onnnn $99!

    • when RIM goes busted, $99 for a playbook will happen.

  • There will be no massive discount like in USA. Australia market is so small.

  • Once v2 pf the OS is released early next year a lot of the people who pick them up at this price will be very happy they got this device

    • unfortunately RIM lately when changing to a new version of os means upgrading hardware, will wait and see if it runs on the current platform.

      • Umm, people having been running the 2.0 developer Beta on this for a month or so now, so not in this case.

        • Beta yes

    • In that case, people who bought them for $99 will really think it's Xmas all over again:

I trialled one of these for work. It's a good device. Compare it with a WiFi only iPad for somewhere north of $500, but the QNX software makes this thing faster than anything Apple have on the market. And App World is getting there.
I handed mine back because there's only so many smartphones, tablets, netbooks and laptops that one household needs.
I suspect you will see these at fire sale prices after Christmas, and at $99 you'd be getting a bargain.
