Make sure your address is uptoday! They send you out a new card as part of this.

I was updated my deatils after I followed these steps for the Platinum upgrade. Sent a message to customer support and they said it will be sent to my new address, but not sure if that's automatic or because I sent the customer service email.

  Accor A|Club doesn't have a "soft landing" like some other loyalty programs, where you just drop to Gold status if you don't meet Platinum requirements for that year. If you don't meet the requirements over next year for A|Club Platinum or Gold or Silver, you'll drop all the way down to the base Classic level.
  
  Hopefully there'll be another promo code or loophole/hack like this in another year, though. :)

      Pretty sure you'll only keep platinum status if you stay the required number of nights per year or get enough points(60 nights/25000 points). If you dont stay enough times, you'll keep your points but lose your status.

  These benefits only apply to the Sofitel, Pullman and MGallery chains I believe. You just mention your card status and number when booking AND when you check-in, as some hotels can be a bit iffy and won't give you the free stuff unless you specifically ask/push them for it.
  
  The "room always available" benefit only applies if you don't book during various "blackout days" - these dates can be found here: http://www.a-club.com/en/bod.html (page doesn't seem to work with Chrome/Firefox, but works in IE)

Not sure if it is working anymore? I was already an Accor gold member and entered my account number and email. Haven't received an email and my account is still reflecting gold status. Oh well platinum isn't much better.

      Because you get platinum status benefits for free which normally require you to stay at the accor chain for at least 60 nights. See here for what those benefits are under the heading PLATINUM: http://www.a-club.com/en/membership-levels.html

Just to clarify for everyone else, you only need to register through the deals page - you DON'T need to go back to the page and put your number and email in.

As soon as you register using the link on the deals page you will be Platinum.
