expired 50% off Dog Adoption - Lost Dogs Home - VIC, QLD, NSW
This was posted 1 year 5 months 18 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
With all of our shelters bursting at the seams with cats and dogs needing homes, as well as more coming in every single day, we urgently need to free up some space in our pens. It is for that reason The Lost Dogs’ Home has decided to offer 50 per cent off all adoptions for the month of December!
Adoption costs differ from shelter to shelter; however as a guide, the discount will take the price of adopting a dog or puppy from the North Melbourne shelter down to $150, an adult cat to $47.50 and a kitten $85.

If you don't pass the test, you can learn what you answered incorrectly and answer again.
Great initiative from them to make it cheaper to adopt!

The cost of desexing a dog alone is greater than the current price - add to that worming, vaccinating and microchipping and you're well up there.
EDIT
Just been off and had a look at the dogs they currently have - they'd need to have a half price sale to find homes at all for the majority of them. lol
+1 voteDogs give so much and expect little in return.
Always happy, never hold a grudge and low upkeep.
Low upkeep means a daily walk (little dogs need a walk too and dogs like to socialize), spending some time with them (not shutting outside never to be seen again) and a feed twice a day.
If your lazy don't sign up.
Every year morons go straight to the puppy shops and buy what looks cute on impulse and personally believe "pound / death row" dogs should be considered first.
If you buy one of these dogs consider a fully grown dog, these are the least sought after and the puppy training is already done.
Bought one of these dogs about 11 years ago and it's been a gold life experience!

+2 votesI got my girl about 3 years ago from Paws. She is the best dog, she loves to have a talk with you(in doggie language of course)loves to learn new tricks, is so happy all the time and LOVES squeaking the crap out of her soft toys. :D
We love her to bits and would never dream of getting rid of her, she's family. As others have said, serious consideration needs to be given before getting a pet (no impulse buying)because yes, they are for life.
People tend to think that animals don't have feelings and that is so so wrong. It breaks my heart when i hear of people adopting/ buying pets only to return them a few days later because it doesn't suit their lifestyle…….how stressful, traumatizing, and devastating, that must be for the poor animal.I truly hope all these animals in the shelters find the best owners, they deserve nothing less.
