Adidas is advertising 30% off "SITE WIDE" but still has exclusions.
Is this misleading advertisement? To me, Site Wide means all items on their website, right?

No, as they have exclusions, and state as much.
Hmmm, yes, there was exclusions in T&C. Please tell me how you interpret "SITE WIDE"?
I interpret it as "site wide*". Lots of bricks and mortar stores do this as well. 20% off storewide (excludes meile, apple etc).
i don't normally pick up these sorts of things. Do we normally just let them advertise misleadingly?? how can they get away with that?
@prawnhead: It's not misleading. It's stupid, but not misleading. They get away with it due to it not being misleading.
"SITE WIDE" I would say means any webSITE or physical SITE where a product/service is to be sold,ie… Nike store, Gumtree, local garage sale, share market….
You should avoid this misdirection by not buying anything from them!
And further, you should never look at any advertising or deals. You should also learn that advertising is purely there to make you buy stuff by creating some sort of emotional connection wether it be ‘i’ll be a better person if I have it’ or ‘all the cool people have one’ or as simple as ‘this price is awesome, buy now because you’ll never beat this deal’
This is typical for many store wide^ or site wide* “sales”…
You planning to take it to ACCC? Good luck with that.
after u take them to court please go after the movie never ending story, disgraceful. so misleading
Hello OP,
I am not sure if your serious?
if they meant everything why wouldn't they write everything
Sitewide / storewide is pretty clear
It means that the items on sale are located all over the site, It does not mean everything, If they meant everything, then they would advertise it as everything.
In your case, if they wanted to exclude items going by your demeanour you expect them to instead of using a generic term sitewide you would want them to list every item on sale?
imagine reading a list of 10000s of items, I bet you will be here making a thread why is the list so long we should boycott them etc etc etc
even if Kmart advertised this and only put two items at either end of the width of the store and one in the middle, that technically meets the requirements, as the items are separated by the WIDTH of the STORE
Back in school we used to say "All Day I Dream About Sex".
Everyone thing 30% off *some exclude still better than UP TO 30% off
You forgot the "*" … therein lies your answer, Grasshopper.
If i went to a car dealer, and the guy said “20% off all cars site wide, but not my personal car”, would you protest? Same thing.
Not really, his personal car is not for sale. Everything on the website is for sale though.
Your not new here, you been on ozbargain since 2012. Is life a box of choclates?
Yes yes it’s.
