Sony Bravia KDL40EX720 40" Full HD 3D LED-LCD TV for $797 at Good Guys

130

I bought a Sony Bravia KDL40EX720 40" Full HD 3D LED-LCD TV for $797 today from Good Guys in Rockingham, WA.
It was advertised on special in good guys catalogue for $999. I told the sales guy i've seen it for $799 at dicksmith. After 5 mins of checking on the net and checking the stock on hand, he happily sold it to me for $797.

I cant find this particular model on the net anywhere at this price. I dont know what the sales guy did to confirm the pricing but he didnt ask me anything…
If you guys need a copy of the receipt for price match then let me know.
I will take a photo and upload the receipt once i get home from work.

  • is it 100hz?? still seems a bit high to me a few others more tempting.

  • It is 100 Hz and IMO its a good price for Sony LED 3D TV.

  • If 3D compatibility isn't a necessity, the 46" Sony LED at Harvey Norman is $788 atm

    • Agreed, surely 3D on a 40" TV can't be very impressive unless you are sitting 1m from the screen?

    • Afaik the 46" at HN isn't the 100Hz model. Personally I would go 40" 100Hz over 46" 50Hz, but that's just my opinion. I reckon this is a very good bargain.

  • Nice, this one was the same price at DSE but it was a hefty staff only discount. Yay for this being public now :D

  • Nice buy, This model also qualifys for the Sony + quickflix promotion 12 months free movie streaming.

If you don't have a big Internet connection or just plain not interested I'd love to take it off your hands. I just bought a KDL32CX520, no promotion for me but they are great looking screens, mine has to sit under the Xmas tree for 23 long days.

  • I've got this TV (assuming this is the 100hz)
Great TV. Got it for about $100 more about 4 months ago. Just beware: 3d glasses not included, and it's wifi compatible but wifi's not actually included
Oh, and you won't use the 3d that much btw

  • Can someone suggest cheapest internet USB that works with this TV?
    Cheers
