Looked like a white dinner set from the thumbnail

  • Hey pretty nice price. Get one of the Samsung Smartthings hubs if you want to get off the Chinese cloud but use the Zigbee vouchers

    • So these sensors work with Samsung SmartThings hub?

      • Yes with a custom device handler. A bit flakey initially but work fine once stabilised

        • Seems expensive after buying some devices through the jbhifi smartthings deal / clearance.
I do have a temp sensor from xiaomi which i use through smartthings though.

  • What method? RF? Zigbee?

    • +1

Zigbee. Note that you have to use the Xiaomi app and no Google Assistant or Alexa support (at least in the older version)

      • Wouldn't it work with IFTTT, and hence would work with Google and Alexa?

        • Oh forget IFTTT, it's mostly paid now. The free tier is so crippled it's like a trial.

  • Is the smart hub certified with AU electrical safety standard?

    • The images show a v3 model which is powered via USB cable

    • I very much doubt it.

The hub can lightup, flash, and play specific sounds. Cannot be used as a target for google talk etc.

  • Didn't the 15% shopback at catch expire a couple of hours ago?

    • you are right. I've checked it now and it shows 7%. I'll edit in the description.

  • Is this a good choice to start with smart devices collection?

    • It is a good start but you won't be able to do much without a couple of Xiaomi lights as well.

  • I paid 40 years ago…..good kit.
