website shows $870.95, so this deal is to pay $70 more for the free Wireless IP Camera?

I find that the price did not include GST when you click on the website, it is very deceptive.

    Shipping is 10 to Sydney,

Find very little about this company, ABN??

Better buy from Reolink for better and cheaper

    • OMG Amazon selling this for $320.95, i think this is dishonest.

  • Thanks for pointing out my ABN I will fix that today. Sorry about the confusion I advertised the GST included price on OzBargain my website doesn’t display GST until checkout. The wireless camera is completely free.

  • seems like a pretty bad deal when you could have just got two of these for less…

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/587412
    700 bux with two PVRs.

and just tossed away the second PVR? and it has a 2TB hdd - greater than the one TB hard drive in this deal… or just pull out the second HDD and plug it in via esata?

so 4tb, AND the resoltion is much better this 2MP vs 5MP of the reolink…

    • i want to know how to connect a 3.5" HDD via esata? do you just buy a cable or an enclosure which esata output?

      • yep, basically. cheapest way is a fan out cable.

        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Power-esata-usb-2-0-5v-12v-combo…

thought there are docks and the likes as well.

        • do i need an extra power for 3.5"?

          • @SnoozeAndLose: I was about to update my comment, unsure if you'd need to add extra power for this,
but i dont think the esata standard provides power.
            for the link ive posted:
"Your desktop will have to support the Power eSATA 5V and 12V. "

there are cables with an additional power supply port that you can plug a transformer into though.

same thing with an extra plug.

              • @SnoozeAndLose: hmmm, as far as im aware 3.5 drives use 5v and 12V, i think your port would still need to provide 5v.

                from the link you posted:
                System requirements
Notebook or PC with a free Power Over eSATA Port 5 V or 12 V

I'd look into it before buying one of these fan out cables… sorry, I probably shouldn't have posted the first cable without looking a little more.

if i wanted to be sure id just get a esata dock. they are like 10 bux more than the fan out cable.

                • @wisc: i will go with a dock that has estate output as i have brought the reolink camera deal on here and need to add my existing HDD via estat cable.

                  • @SnoozeAndLose: if your just doing a one off hdd IE not swapping, you could also look into get an esata enclosure - just to protect the hdd that little bit more.

docs are handy for when you want to change hdds. but the drive is "exposed"

                    • @wisc: didn't find a cheap enclosure for 3.5" with esata >.<
