Motorola RAZR on $49 Cap + 2 Months Free = $1078 over 24 Months from Optus

82

Just saw this on Motorola Australia's Facebook page. Motorola RAZR is now free on $49 cap (min. $1078) for 24 months with 2 months free.

So if we break it down, ~$600 for the RAZR and ~$480 for Optus service over 2 years (~$20p/m).

Good if you're looking to recontract/sign up with Optus.

EDIT: Should mention in the post as well that this is a 1 week only special offer.

You should also say that it is the Droid Razr, not just Razr as people may get confused with Razr v3i (the phone that I have, LOL)

    • Droid RAZR is the official name for the US (CMDA/LTE) version of this phone which will not work with our carriers on this side of the pond. I'd hope that nobody would pay $49p/m today for a V3 RAZR.

  • Is the Droid RAZR getting ICS anytime soon?

    • Purportedly early next year, but Motorola hasn't been the best with their OTA updates. However, most sources that one can find on the net suggest it to be extremely likely.

  • Can this be unlocked?

    • The RAZR is sold already unlocked for any carrier (suits all networks, even NextG and Vodafone 850). It only accepts MicroSIMs, so you'll need to procure a new SIM from your carrier or you'll need to get out the scissors.

Tested with Vodafone 850 and Telstra NextG myself.

Once owned Moto Razor V phone. Felt sick with Moto charging for PC Suite software update! No longer interested in Moto.

  • This phone is reportedly pretty dodgy. Stick with the SGSII or Galaxy Nexus.

    • I've got the phone and haven't had too much trouble with it. Only downside is got it at launch price.

Good for people who dont like the feel of the SGSII or dislike Touch wiz (if they are not familiar how).

    • Like what? It has been often ranked in the top 5 phones on sale.

  • Pffffttt to Motorola.. will never trust them or buy one again … THEY DONT UPDATE THERE SOFTWARE

    • Can't agree more. Rubbish Moto.

  • Great deal for the Razr. It's one of the upper class Android phones and has a beautiful screen, though it does seem a bit too big for a phone.
