[PC] Red Dead Online $1.87 @ Humble Store

710

Looks like a pricing error. They are taking 75% off of already discounted price. Humble bundle is great because some of the money goes to charity too, so support them by buying some other games too if you'd like.

IMPORTANT: Redeemable on Epic, not Steam.

Apologies if any formatting errors, first deal post.

EDIT: EXPIRED

  • Not a pricing error, the online portion as a stand-alone is only $7.50.

It’s loaded with in app purchases, that’s how they make their money in the long run.

It's at $7.50 until 16/2/2021. $7.50 is 75% off the retail price of $29.95. Humble is taking an additional 75% off (to bring it to $1.87), therefore I'd say it is a pricing error or just a great deal.

    • Yuck… thanks.

  • +4

Thanks! Practically free haha, I'll add it to the list of games I haven't played yet!

    • +1

I'm starting to stack up on those too! Enjoy them!

Heads up for anyone purchasing - this is for Epic, not Steam - worth mentioning.

Didn't stop me buying, but it may be a factor for others.

    • +1

Good point! Will add it to the description. Thanks!

  • Is this the full game?

    • +2

Just access to the online portion. Full game has only ever been discounted to about $50 AUD

      • What is the different between this and the full version?

        • In this one, you only have access to the online multiplayer in the same world. The full game has the single-player story as well.

        • +3

This sucks whereas the actual game is great.

  • Good deal, 75% off the normal price

    • *off the already discounted price :) It's $29.95 after the initial sale period that lasts until 16/2/2021

  • +1

cost me $0.52 after the minimal discount i already had in my wallet credit lol

    • +1

      I'm jealous! Enjoy it!

  • +1

If you're a Humble Bundle member you get an additional 20% off. I just paid $1.50, thanks OP!

    • +1

No problem and good info for everyone else! Enjoy it!

  • +1

Can only buy two of them.

Bought one for myself one for a friend and it cancelled every order after that.

    • Good to know! Thanks! Enjoy it!

    • changing payment methods unlocks this. 2 paypal , 2 on cc. etc.

      • Anyone got a spare? I missed this.

  • Rather get the full game. The story is amazing and puts many Hollywood movies or series to shame.

    • It is certainly a great game, but for $1.87 you can't really go wrong.

      • The full game includes online though.. thats why I'd get that over just the online component..

        • It's also at least $50

    • I found it technically great but the story and pacing a bit slow

Can epic owners play with steam owners?

    • Not sure on that one. It might be through Rockstar services so possibly. Maybe someone can chime in here.

    • +2

Yes, the game runs through the rockstar launcher (free download) so you'll have to sign up for an account there, but I play it on Epic and some of my friends are on Steam and we play with each other fine.

  • +1

Got it for free with the 2.50 credit i had and made 13 cents back lol.

  • Got this on Steam a few days ago :-(
How can I refund on Steam ?

    • +2

Go to store then account and then purchase history and click refund. If you have over 2 hours played already or are outside of a certain date range, you will have less chance of a refund.

    • Thanks for the reminder. Refunding now!

  • Prices drop probably because player base was running low; great deal though and happy to give back to Epic since they give away freebies. (A moment of silence for those that bought it at $7.50, even that was a great deal.)

Also I'm pretty sure you can interlink Epic into Steam or vice-versa but I have no idea if the servers link up.

  • Cracking deal but didn't really enjoy the online portion of Red Dead Redemption 2.

  • +1

They might have fixed it, I am just seeing the normal price.

    • Me too.

    • +1

      Gah! You're right!
      Game over man! Game over!!!

  • +2

Great deal! Looks like it's been set back to $7.48 now though.

  • +1

    DAMN missed out

  • I got it and will ask questions later.

  • Its crazy that they have found a way to charge people money for access to a glorified store front. The online in this game only exists to sell micro transactions.

    • For $1.87 I'm more than happy to just try it out and see if the game runs alright on my PC

      • +1

Thats fair enough, it works quite well as a demo.

  • +1

I got it on steam the other day for $7 bux or whatever it is, but the online is so lame, its not even worth your time or money. Steer clear tbh
