I am not entirely sure what you are asking. Are you asking what is a "web smart" switch, in contrast to an unmanaged switch and a managed switch? If so, then here is my answer.
"Web Smart" is simply a marketing term used to sell semi-managed switches. "Web" refers to the management interface being implemented as web pages, in contrast to the command-line (and scriptable) interface of fully managed swithches. "Smart" refers to the simple but limited management features, in contrast to the "dumb" unmanaged switches.
Lastly, all the ports in the DGS-1210 series are gigabit. As I wrote in the post above and clarified by petestrash below, the eStore web page is wrong. Hopefully, the price is right. :-)

http://www.dlink.com.au/products/?pid=856It is a part managed 10/100/1000 switch with 4 SFP ports and many Layer 2 features. The datasheet for the family is here:
http://files.dlink.com.au/Products/DGS-1210-16/Datasheet/DGS...Seems like a good price for the features.

What makes it "Web Smart" compared to other switches? Semi managed might be useful to someone I suppose, but, if you require a 16 port switch, you might wanna look at all Gigabit ports… Just sayin…
