  • EA doing there best to almost give FIFA away for free so people buy into their micro transaction ecosystem…

    • & it is a system that works perfectly for them! The amount of PSN cards we sell that go towards FIFA points is absurd!

      • +1

100% and i dont disagree with their approach. If people are willing to spend money on it then why not. Makes it better for players like myself who just play my career and online against others and dont spend money on micro transactions. Means i get to buy the game for $30 a month or so after its released :)

  • Fifa has been almost the only game I play in the past 10 years but haven't spent a single cent on the micorpoints. Did I miss anything?

    • Just further disappointment with opening packs for cash, rather than through hard work in trading or playing the game.

I've played the last two editions and also haven't used points for packs, but watch some of the streamers do…. the good ones show you the good and the bad and make you understand how bad it can be…. others show you they get CR7, Icons and Neymar regularly making you think you too could pack them with your $5K of FIFA points, but sadly, you are mistaken.

Plus, with the continual promos, the power creep of players means the players you got last month are no longer the best, so time to invest another $5K to try and get the most recent and best version of that player you want, but have a <0.5% chance of packing.

  • Boring game with now 2nd tier controller = $20 overprice
