$30 Telstra Sim Starter Pack for $10

I have recently seen this deal in coles (i think) with their weekly specials catalogue. Planning to migrate my 3 number to telstra after painfully finishing my contract. I was wondering if the $10 deal is still available somewhere? THanks.

  The $30 for $10 sim's, gives you a new number, AFAIK you can't transfer your old number to this deal. Well, I couldn't do it the normal way…

      Yes, you have to ring them, you can't port online, but with a telstra starter pack, you can definately port your number

        ok, so I buy a $30 starter pack for $10, port my existing number to this new SIM card, and use it for 30 days. Can I get another starter pack and port my number again, or is there a limit to the number of times you can port your number?

        Porting is only possible from a different carrier. So you can't be on Telstra if you want to port. You can only use the starter pack if you are currently with optus/vodafone or their resellers.

        You might have to get a $2 sim first. I wouldn't do it too many times, too much hassle.

        What plan are you planning to go on?

        ahhh ok, i was getting all excited because I was thinking you could transfer/port my telstra number to one of these starter packs. Dammit, lol
