  if you don't have of just has a small SSD 128GB —> JUST get a SSD upgrade to 256GB to 512GB at ~ $100-$150 and run down your machine til it dies.
  
  Save your saving in this for 12 months and then increase your budget to 1.5K + at least and ask again.

Find potential partner with spiffy laptop, wine and dine ONCE ONLY, ask to borrow said laptop, go completely incommunicado after getting hands on laptop.

So far the numbers I have found are $89 for Ram
Asrock B450 $65
Ryzen 3 3100 $160
GTX 1650 $219

So far it adds up to $533, have seen the 1650's on special for $189 before so getting pretty close to under $500.
