video game is ineligable for cashback now. 10 min ago you can get from cashrewards.

  • It's 12% with CR and 0% with SB right?

    • 0% with CR now too, I think it was only from 9AM-11AM so just missed it.

      • +1

Ah yes, I see until 11am! Thanks.

        • All good! I was looking at buying this but there wasn't a lightning deal on it until 11AM. Still a good deal though.

still has 10% cashback, go Amazon check it out

  • Thanks Op. bought one

  • JB hifi will price match if you got any vouchers for Xmas…

This doesn't look like it has the Nintendo Seal.

    • +1

On the back of the box it does.

      • -1

From the Amazon page, the image of the back of the box doesn't.

        • Huh, they must have changed it.

It's sold and shipped by Amazon themselves. Makes returning much easier if things go wrong anyways.

          • @silverrat23: I'd rather not deal with the whole returns thing tbh.

        • what's the Nintendo seal and what's it supposed to look like?

Look at the oval thing. That's the seal that should be on every official Nintendo product. I don't see it on this amazon listing.

            • +1

@TLZ: I see. Thanks for pointing that out :)

              • @benchman: No worries ☺️

                • +1

@TLZ: I’m confident it’ll be official stock. Pictures of packaging aren’t always correct or of the actual item.

                  • @Smigit: I hope so. But I'm sceptical still. Why would they use the knockoff image instead?

                    • +1

@TLZ: I doubt it’s a photo of a knock off, rather a render or other piece of documentation designed for web

I’ve purchased Pro controllers via Amazon in the past without issues. No reason to suspect they weren’t legit.

            • @TLZ: I bought one on Prime day and it does have a seal. The seal is on the back of the hang tab but not on the back of the box so Amazon is showing a pic of a legit pro controller box.

            • +1

@TLZ: ive got a pro and 2 sets of joy cons and the seal is higher up on the bit that hangs

            • @TLZ: Seems easy to counterfeit?

  • Dual sense be better with dongle

    • It would an overkill, as the new triggers won't do anything special (Switch itself doesn't support analogue trigger inputs).

    • I prefer the Nintendo for switch use. Just feels more natural when playing Nintendo games.

Plus the Nintendo controller can turn the console on while the 8bitdo + DD can’t. I have a perma-docked switch that’s hiding in a TV unit so that’s worth a lot to me.

  • Just food for thought - Amazon has issues with fake items as per this Reddit post
You can see in the comments that there are fakes mixed among the authentic ones. You're better off going to JBHiFi or EBGames to price match. I've successfully pricematched a similar price in the past at JBHiFi in Booragoon WA and other Amazon links at Melville WA.
    Happy shopping!

  • Is this genuine stock from Nintendo?

  • I just got JB to price match to Amazon earlier this morning when it was still $79.99. So close to proper Ozbargaining.

  • Is there a reason why pro controllers haven't drop to $50ish? Kinda ridiculous $70 is seen as a good price compared to other controllers.

    • Other controllers=Just dualshock 4?

    • I’d say the Nintendo Pro controllers are comparable to the Xbox ones so the price is justified.

    • If anything its the joy cons at $120 rrp and sometimes on sale at $99 which are over priced. Especially with the drift issues.

  • Price has gone back up to $79.95 :(
Was planning to get to JB Hifi today for a price match. As good guys wouldn't price match yesterday.

  • Anybody had experience with this? (See link). I believe the genuine gear is way overpriced. I'm guessing this is probably just as good. Also, can anyone recommend alternatives to the genuine Joy cons?
