  • Note this only supplies 30W on the USB-C PD port. Will be fine for M1 MacBooks but older MacBooks will charge a lot slower.

  • Amazon buyer review said it only offer 30w on PD (USB-C), hence unable to charge latest ipad pro and MBP. Is it true?

    • Yep.

Fast-Charging Technology: Charge any USB-C device at top speeds with the Power Delivery port (MacBook charges at 30W)

    • +1

Just to be clear, they'll charge fine, and faster than a lot of 'free' phone chargers which come in the box of other devices, but it won't be as fast as the maximum possible speed for say an iPad Pro.

A MBP (or any other USB PD laptop) other than the less powerful models (eg Macbook Intel core m3, Macbook Air M1) would probably drain battery faster than these can charge if you're using heavily. I found even my Lenovo X1 Carbon would drain unless the laptop was pretty much idling.

    • The earlier version of this charger could provide up to 45W on the USB-C port, although officially only 30W on the spec. I have 2 and they've been great, no issues so far. They removed it since around 2 years ago and now it's back to 30W as per spec. So it's now 30W on USB-C and 30W shared on the other 4 USB-A.

  • Any good for chromecast with Google tv to add additional storage?

  • This was the sale during the boxing day, but it's expired. A good deal though as I previously paid $50 for these and highly rate them.
