If I only have 3 months access to Nintendo switch online do I still get to keep games I have downloaded for free after the 3 months? And can I delete them and download them again whenever I want?

    • What games? This you won't be able to play after the 5th

        Like fortnite.

        • +3

Fortnite you can play online without Switch online membership.

@sss333: Ok thanks, I couldn't seem to download it without signing up for membership.

@onetwothreefour: I haven't played Fortnite this season, but I've been playing the game since it dropped on Switch, 700 odd hours on there, not a single minute of which was done with an NSO membership, you'll be right, bud.

    Crash Team Microtransactions

While i get it… MTX are optional i do not like the way they stealth added them after all the positive reviews etc were done with.

I haven’t noticed this, but the game is underwhelming.

The Crash platformer remakes are much more fun

      • +1

The physics in the remakes are so jank though :(

The loading times for this on Switch were horrendous.

    • -1

So is its loading time on PS4.

  • +2

CTR and Crash Bash were so much fun back in the PS1 days

  • Will this need to be full 9.27 GB download?

    • +11

I mean, it's the full game.

If you play enough you could probably finish the story mode within the week and play some multiplayer.

One thing if it was just a demo with a handful of characters and tracks but it's still a whole week to play the full game.

Think of it as a week long rental for free.

  • Damn, sales for this version of the game (Switch) must be really bad

Having an option to play MK8 on Switch, the main reason to play CTR must be the aesthetics that some picky kids prefer.

Having said that, there must be fans of the different dynamics of CTR too.

  • 30 frames per second kills this game on every console.
    Its a motion blur mess.

    • I guess they don't want to offer better performance on rival hardware (than their own).

      • I don't understand what you're implying.

    • The Switch version is the only version that can run at 60FPS but requires the use of a patch on a custom firmware Switch(or via a emulator). So not ideal but 60FPS gameplay is possible.

      Thanks I’ve updated the details.

CTR is $24.48 on the PlayStation store now along with Spyro for $24.48….Nitros Oxide Edition $34.98 😃

This is also free for those who have Crash Bandicoot Trilogy - https://store.playstation.com/en-au/product/EP0002-CUSA07399…

  • Can't work out how to play local two player split screen on this game.

    Is it possible?

    • Yer, go into local arcade or similar. It isn't intuitive for me either.

Thanks for the heads up… tried it. It's good but even with 50% off I'm struggling to see a reason to buy it when I can just play Mario Kart instead.

    • +1

      Agreed.

Only get CTR if you mainly care about nostalgia - otherwise Mario Kart blows it out of the water in every other aspect.

I way prefer ctr apart from the load times. Gameplay and maps are more complicated and fun. The Power slide is cool although I haven't quite mastered it. I've had hours of fun with the family and will consider buying it (we have a bunch of games already and thankfully kids have plenty of other things they want to do)
