    Stardock… didn't they make that application dock for Windows? That Mac OS style app dock…

    EDIT: Just looked at their website. I think they are! And they've made other games as well.

    My prediction, Epic will eventually go the same way as Google Photos, with the amount of free games on offer require an eventual subscription.
    I could be wrong, but building up a base to move eyes away from steam is the starting point. Then pushing users to pay to retain access.
    In the interim have at it with free offers, just don't be surprised if eventually you are expected to pay.

      They'll likely push into having a general gaming subscription service like PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass. This current trend of free games every week is just to try and build up their user base, that's all.

      They pay the Devs/publishers to offer these games free.
      They get a shit load of money licensing the Unreal Engine and then there's Fortnite and it's micro transactions making them billions.
