    Sorry buddy, no deal.

Similar items on eBay at almost 50% less.

Good try for your first post though; welcome to ozb.

but always compare Amazon to EBay, the wish-wash between who's cheaper is extremely common.

However, this one has NFC as an extra advantage, much easier to connect.

    • …looks handy. have you tried this unit out?

    • I've got em off banggood for $3 in the past.

      • I bought mine off banggood, and I noticed a hissing sound.
        Does this happen to you?

  • Thanks.. bought off eBay

  • Has anyone been able to pair this (or something like it) to a Google home speaker?

    • -1

To what end? Google Homes already connect by bluetooth to whatever you want - i.e. if you have a Bluetooth Speaker, Google Home will use it as the speaker to play audio on.

      • (Wasn't me that negged you)

I have an LG TV that does have Bluetooth, but it's apparently the kind that requires you to activate using a PIN (e.g. type in 1111 on your other device), so Google Home speaker doesn't support this method of connection. Instead it seems to only be able to connect in… let's call it "passive mode"?

          Haha, thanks

so Google Home speaker doesn't support this method of connection

Hmmm, I see, you want the Google Home to be the Bluetooth speaker for the Television?

I didn't think it worked that way (I thought you could only pair from the Home to another speaker), but it seems that you might be able to do it - Here's the Google help page about it.

          https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7381505?hl=en-A…

Seems like you might be able to pair properly from the Google Home app - maybe give that a crack if you haven't already?

          • @Droz: Yeah, I've tried that. There's no way of making an "active" pairing that requires inputting some kind of code.

  • Is OP affiliated/associated with HH-Electronics? Based on "L" and description, looks that way.

  • Does anyone know if this can be paired with this projector for wireless audio? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/596034

    • What I do is use a media streaming box, it connects to the projector via hdmi and a soundbar via bluetooth. This way there's no cabling across the room.

  • My kingdom for a bluetooth-to-3.5mm that is bidirectional, so can be used for conference calls

  • I've got two similar to this. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth range has always been a problem. OK to use if you are in the line of sight or within 3 to 4 meters. Connection cuts off easily beyond that and if you're in another room. The 10 meters range is inaccurate advertising.
