Does this come with unnecessary noise generator for extra attention-seeking, just like the real Harleys?

    • I thought it safety gear so people know they are there and they won't get run over .

      • +1

It's the standard safety kit that comes with the open face helmet, no gloves and shorts.

“Loud pipes save lives!” Apparently, that’s what they’re trying to shout to you over the noise.

          • @[Deactivated]: So one Romanian "study" determined that "loud pipes often can’t be heard from inside a car" - a "study" done with stationary bikes.

As a driver I often hear loud bikes nearby and am on the lookout to be sure I know the rider's whereabouts in relation to my car.

As a rider my first CBR600RR had a stock exhaust on it for a year, and after installing an akrapovic (sounds nice, not obnoxious like say a harley - but ymmv) I observed drivers actively looking in their rear vision and side mirrors when I was nearby.

    Wish this was Technic.

  • Why do they have to make a point of showing some guy building it who has tatts all over his arms? Stereotyping much?

    • +2

yeah women with tatts should also be the market
