  Max Payne and Max Payne 2 are really tempting. Metro 2033 is a definite buy. Amnesia, one of the best video games I have ever played, and you don't even get to fire a gun.

      For $5 I would say get it. It's one of the best games for getting your heart rate up due to fear. It made me jump a few times no other game has done that. The graphics aren't the best but it brings a lot of new stuff to gaming.

  Remember if you are looking at buying games that aren't currently a daily deal, wait until the end of the sale to buy them because they might get given an even larger discount as apart of a daily deal.

        Yes, I agree, it is a new and popular release, but that's where they have so much to gain. By lowering the price by even a small amount, it has the potential to encourage people who were and still are dubious about paying full price for the game. They could make quite a few more sales if they try to be competitive with their 'new and popular releases', especially considering the inflated price of australian games. And as for the negs, I'm allowed to indicate the absence of a particular game from the sale and express my personal dismay in response.

  There is also a competition running with the Christmas sale - basically you have to gain achievements in various games to receive either Gifts or Coals.

  The Gifts are games and coupons that can be redeemed on Steam.

  WOW! I just dug out all my 5 accounts from 10 years ago I got VAC Banned with experimenting.
  Through opening all da 1 gifts you automatically get I got a 50% off all Valve stuff (not yet redeemable) and PORTAL 2!!
