Q&A

Can the 30000mAh power bank be taken on planes since it's over 100Wh?

Yes some airlines allow it with permission as it's under 160Wh:

I have the 20,000mah one for more than 6 months now and I think its amazing. It charges the ipad faster than the anker 30w pd usb-c wall charger. I like how it has the lightning port in so you can use your regular iphone charger to charge it and usb-c in and out.

      Which 20000 mah is that?

      • +1

        I got this model:
ROMOSS 20000mAh Portable Charger with LED Display,Sense 6PS+

Its a bit heavy and chunky. Well most 20k mah and up are. So for portability get 10k mah and below.

  • Thanks, got the PHP30 Pro / Sense 8 whatever it's called.

  • I wonder why LT20PS is better than SW20+ in every way and also slightly cheaper? Am I missing something?

    • +3

LT20PS is a standard charging power bank, while the SW20+ has 18W charging.

  • The listing says it takes 11 hours to fully recharge if using an 18w USB-C charger. Does anyone know what the average real-world time requirement be for a smaller capacity charger? Would it simply be a linear value (e.g. a lightning charger with only 10W output might take roughly twice as long)?

  • Got the sense20+. I don't want to get email approval everytime I fly and 20,000mah is plenty. Thanks for the deal. Sub $30 for a PD 18W is good deal.

  • What’s the largest battery pack in this range? I’m looking to buy one for 5-6 days camping. Thanks

    • There is a 40 000mah model, but it's currently unavailable. Looks like 30 000 is the biggest you can get right now.

  • Thanks for providing the useful Q/A in your post.

    • People always assume 100Wh is the cut off for airlines but it really isn't. I get it in every deal.

  • Is there are recommended powerbank with built in wireless charging?

  • +1

I have this from a previous OzB deal. Takes a long time to charge but it just goes, and goes, and goes. Fantastic for camping and long road trips when you get in the car and the kids say they didn't charge their phone / iPad / Switch despite you reminding them ten times.

  • Does anyone know if these power banks have 18650 cells? Just wondering if it is worth getting one to shuck the cells to use them for something else.

    • +1

I took one apart as it stopped charging after about a year. It has 3x10000mAh 4.2V 37wh Lithium Polymer batteries.

      • Thanks, I was looking on youtube for teardowns but I couldn't tell the model/capacity and there was a mix of ones with 18650s and flat packs.

  • The 18W 30000mAh is coming up at $43.99 when I add it to my cart…. what am I missing?

    • Missing coupon. ZF9QXRKD

      • Says it’s already applied. I’m new to Prime, is there demand based pricing?

        • Once at checkout you select your payment method and the discount is applied.

@Clear: Do you know if you guys are getting the
            ROMOSS PEA57 Power Bank 57000mA
Anytime soon or someone that can supply it for me thanks

  • I purchased the 30000 Sense + 8 and it lasted about 6 weeks. Doesnt charge Dell Latitude laptop.
Was replaced for free however, great support.

    • These aren't designed to charge laptops. You want one with USB-PD 45W or higher.

  • Oh i wasnt sure, thought i read on the ebay page that it could charge laptops, but still good for phones and my ipad, fast charging

  • +1

Got the 30000mAh one, battery drops insanely quick from 55%. Literally charging the phone it goes 55%>1x%>0% in 5 minutes.
Reported the issue to seller, they ask to send a full video when using the battery to reflect the fault and unwilling to send a replacement.
