If it helps I have 3x SRK20ZSA and 1x SRK25ZSA installed in bedrooms at home (northern metro Melb) and they are definitely capable units. Things to consider are that the ZXA models come with the ability to turn off the LEDs entirely, something I’ve resorted to adding gaffer tape to the front of the units. The ACCloud MH-AC-WIFI-1 remotes are an okay investment at $200 a pop - allows you to control the units and see the internal temp on the go. Doesn’t integrate well into any smart home system (won’t let you adjust parameters through Google Home). Main positive is that the controller doesn’t require external power and can be hidden behind the fascia of the internal unit.

Sorry I should have been clearer, I meant the Appliances Repairs Online.

An alternative to the wifi remotes are smart infrared blasters - I've got one from Kmart that links up with Tuya. Think it was $20. It lets me control my MHI Split with the app and google home, though the controls aren't very granular. Good enough for me to turn the AC on when I'm out on a hot day (or even automate it based on the temperature).

Oh, you just made my day. I have a number of these splits (they are really good) but didnt want to fork out the extra for wifi which needs to be installed by an electrician.

forgot to mention pricebeat at bunnings for 10% o.o

    • Will an ad on ozb justify a bunnings price beat?

  • Highly recommend the Panasonic AERO series. Very powerful yet quiet and efficient. Beautiful design and lots of functions. Got the 2.5kw reverse cycle from Harvey Norman for about $880 (negotiated from the RRP $999) picked up.

  • How much to get this installed in a upstairs bedroom? Back to back install . Same side of the house as the switchboard .

      • Do you mind giving me the installers details? Were you happy with the install and did they provide you with the elec certificate ? Thanks in advance

Any deal on Bronte 7.1kw? I’m after that unit. It’s $1599 at bunnings atm.

  • Is this eligible for cashback (https://mhiaa.com.au/promotion/)?

    • Given the cashback purchase period finished in January, that seems unlikely…
