    As always I must ask - will this support 1440p @ 144Hz

    • Also asking this.

      • This is 60Hz, normally it is downward compatible with 30Hz

    • If your USB type C and this device is Gen 3 then it will support a transfer rate of 20Gbps.

Else, it will only support 10Gbps and fail to output the required 11Gbps that 144Hz@1080p requires.

      • Does that mean it is limited by other plugged-in items?

        • No, it only means that USB Type 3.1 Gen 2 is limited to 10Gbps.

Further, I'd speculate that this device and your type C port is only Gen 2 (10Gbps) since Gen 3 (20 Gbps) is rare.

          • @BlameTheCat: I have a Zephyrus G15 and the device manager says NVIDIA USB 3.10 eXtensible host controller so I think it is supported.

              @PolisOfHarrowlea: .

The Zephyrus G15 type c connector is USB 3.2 Gen 2. Therefore, it will not output more than 134Hz@1080p.

That was my mistake thought it was 1080p you wanted. For 1440p you would only get ~100Hz using Gen 2 USB type C.

              • @BlameTheCat: Thanks @BlameTheCat

                I can settle for 100Hz @ 1440p - I'll look around for USB-C gen 2 docks.

      • Thanks for your answer

Repeat of this a week ago

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/604595

    • They post this every week…you'll see the same items in the description get rotated weekly with a few cents/dollar difference. It's basically the permanent prices at this point. The annoying part is the 'youtube style' spam tags they use in their descriptions so I'm getting alerts weekly for completely unrelated deals

Does it classify as a bargain if the same bargain is posted every week. Probably should be removed as a repeat/spam

      • We are very sorry about that. Because we received some requests from customers that they didn’t buy them, we need to send them again

    • +1

      Yes, it works with it

  • USB Hub is not compatible with Google Chromecast TV.

Do you have one that is?

    • Hi Bargrin,

Could you tell us, how do you connect Google Chromecast TV with a USB hub? If you can, you can take a video to us. I told our engineer to see if we can update to connect to Google Chromecast TV. Could you please contact us via [email protected]? If you can help, it would really mean a lot to us. So that we can update the product

      Thank you
      Abby

      • If I'm not mistaken, doesn't it require the device to have its own outlet-based power supply?
