[VIC] $7 Burgers @ Sideshow Burgers (South Yarra)

150

A new burger chain opened up on Toorak Rd opposite South Yarra station and are doing $7 burgers for their opening week (ends 28th Feb)

Confirmed with them that it includes all burgers except Strongman and Freakshow.

Their burgers usually cost between $15-$20 so this is better than half price.

Sorry, but bad choice to use a clown on their advertising…

    • Maybe they think it will make them as big as maccas.

Just what south Yarra needs… another burger shop

Haha I know right. Personally though I needed one within walking distance so I’m happy.

It was previously another burger shop in there that went out of business early on during COVID. Owner operator that was always behind the counter which I respected, said he was gonna lay low and reopen elsewhere later on.

There’s also Burgertory that opened in the old Hungry Jacks. Let’s be honest though, they’re all UberEats kitchens and burgers/pizza are safe options for delivery.

Yeah, it was called LA Burgers and was my favourite in the area. Although that honour now goes to Bettys Burgers in Windsor. Happy to try this for $7 though.

BTW The LA Burgers owner told me the landlord shafted them and prematurely ended the lease. ie didn't go broke.

        • Yeah it was the buns at LA Burgers for me. Dude had the softest buns 😏

Glad to hear he didn't go bankrupt.

@Cheaplikethebird: My fave burger shop in Melbourne is Kung Fu Burger on Chapel Street. Super underrated - creative flavours, reasonable prices, super juicy fried chicken thigh fillets, yum yuzu mayo for chips etc. Have beyond burger options too. Just discovered last week you can get a japanese curry on rice for like 8 bucks too or 10 with a drink.

Can't speak for this new store, but we are regulars at their Vermont store and their burgers are really really good!

Their Oreo desert is to die for too.

    • I tend to trust the burger chains that start out in the outer burbs and move in. I know it's more likely going to be quality over aesthetic/theme, it seems to be the other way round for most places in Melb.
