Not sure, for me it was showing $26 shipping and total $155 so, just went with CENTRE COM.

      • Understood, probably because I'm in Melbourne/VIC. Cheaper shipping here near PCCG

    Fractal Design

After zooming into the pic several times, it does not appear to be…

  • damn i was also interested in this case, but isnt a new model also coming out?

    • +2

Yep, the compact which is actually a little bigger. Better all round. YouTube reviews are up.

    • In stock at scorptec I think

    • It's already out. Meshify 2 Compact. It was leaked a month ago.

  • I don't know what the C is supposed to stand for, but you'd think they would put a Type C port on the case at least.

It's been around many many years, it's a budget case that has gone up in price in recent times. Type C costs alot for manufacturing.

      It's successors have it.

The 'C' was for 'Compact', the newer version is called the Meshify 2 Compact, announced on 24th Feb, is called the Compact.
It's actually slightly bigger this time, but is the Compact version of the Meshify 2, and yes it has a front panel USB-C this time around, among other upgrades..

      • The Define 7 (which I have) also has a Compact version, but they call it Compact, not C.

I just bought the Corsair 4000D Airflow from Amazon for $129 and added a couple of ML140s for $41. Effectively the same internal frame as Meshify 2 Compact, but only 1 x USB A. Those ML140s mean I have 2 x 120 and 2 x 140 though.

So basically the same case, same price, 1 less USB but 2 extra (high quality) fans.

        • +1

Agree with this - the 4000D series from Corsair is superior now and at a lower price.

    • The case was made before USB-C started becoming common..

The newer version, released on the 24th has USB-C.

      • do they still make the old case or is it leftover stock?

        • Probably starting to transition to selling the newer version which is why there's a sale. Offloading old stock. It is a compact case, and there are disadvantages with that.

I have a Fractal Design case and it’s really good. Quality is high and design features are well thought through. Mine is a Define something.

I've had a Meshify C for the last couple years - solid case but there are definitely a few drawbacks due to the compact design:

    • Cable management is tough (especially for a first build)
    • You have to be careful with GPU sizes as there isn't a great deal of clearance.
    • Airflow isn't actually that great stock, you need to remove the foam filter from the front panel and buy at least one additional fan.

Overall not bad but I'd hold out for the Meshify 2 Compact, which is the successor to this.

As others have pointed out there's a new, better version out (for more money), but this is still a decent case for this price.

If you want this for the size / price, and your PSU isn't too long, I'd also consider the Phanteks P300A. Less PSU room, but better airflow and the top being removable really makes it easier to build in these small cases.

Gamenexus review the meshify 2 compact, saying that this meshify c foam filter is too restrictive, the airflow is not that great.

For similar price I will get the corsair 4000d bequiet 500dx, or phantek p300/400a
