You still have to buy Foxtel monthly though, this just gives you the ability to have it!

  If you wanted to get around it, you could probably use an address in one of the sales-tax-free states (Alaska, Oregon, Montana, New Hampshire, and Delaware), instead of the address they give you for international orders.
