I've been looking for hardwood floor cleaning products over the last 3 months and this is the cheapest I've found. Alex Lind Flooring Supplies has the best regular price but this is cheaper than them. I haven't used this product before but reviews seem ok though a bit poor/averagely rated on Spotlight website.

  • Don't know about the timber spray, Choice Magazine tested many floor cleaners last year (https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/laundry-and-cleani…), and didn't recommend any of them. Some performed worse than water! The mops and cleaning pads might be worthwhile.

    • Yeah, but it was Choice, which is the home of dud recommendations.

      • I thought they were supposed to be reliable/trustworthy

        • Yeah, they have built a good, if undeserved, reputation, mainly due to being the only organisation in that space for a long time.

  • this or a steam mop?

    • From what I've read, it depends on what type of floor you have. If it's sensitive to moisture like hardwood floors then it should only be mopped with a damp to touch mop. Steam mops may damage the wood. My guess is if you have laminate which isn't waterproof then steam mops may be a bad idea too

Can I use Bona cleaning products on my hardwood?

    • Nice long strokes with it should help keep your hardwood well lubricated

    • only with a quality deck scrubber
