Just went to mother care today and they have this great deal for baby car seat where they will match the lowest price in any Australian store and give back the difference from their store price with the matching price a free gift card.
Promotion available in all mothercare store in australia expired on 25th january
This safe n sound baby car seat is the best out there from what i heard, have been looking this at baby bunting and their best price is only $449.
On the other hand mothercare match baby gallery price which is $415.99 and on top of that i got free gift card for $79 for the price difference from $495 - 415.99.
I think this is the best deal for parents that are looking for baby car seat. Thanks mothercare :)

also only applicable for that store because mother care's price match policy mentions they only match prices of stores in the local area (20km's is what their web site says, exact phrase is:
"Find an identical, stocked car seat available locally (within a 20km radius from the Mothercare store) for a cheaper price and we will match the price, and give you the value of the difference in the form of a Mothercare gift card, eligible for purchases on full priced Mothercare and ELC branded product only")…I tried to get the Newcastle store to match some sydney prices last week and they refused (despite the fact that I could have gone to a mother care store in sydney and got a price match), so instead I got the 'Platinum' AHR T&A car seat from pram warehouse for $495, which then had a $50 cash back from britax…
So, good car seat, but not a bargain per say..

I bought this one 2 years ago from mybabywarehouse in Leichhardt for low to mid $400s.
It's now $439 (prob same price as i paid 2 years ago as i found them to be the cheapest at that time)

I think everyone in melbourne can get this price if they just match it with baby gallery price. Not sure what's the cheapest price on other states. But even if you match it with baby bunting store which is 449 you will at least still get $46 free gift card from mothercare.
I dont believe mothercare going to lower their price anytime because of their current promotion, but who knows…
see like a good deal….althought, a quick search on ebay finds the same seat for around(or slightly under) $400. Depends on where you live as to if this will include delivery/pickup.
Question - with the $75 mothercare give you back, could you use this as payment for another price match? ie i want to buy a pram in a years time, fnid it cheaper elsewhere, they pricematch, i pay with the giftcard i received>
ALSO what are ppls thoughts on using a 'used' car seat off ebay? dangerous?

Got $75 gift card that lasts a year and can be used on anything in store. Also join up to loyalty club on the spot and get $20 credit for spending that much, so $95 saving all up. Brings real cost down to $325.

Also if you have mothercare card you get points which give you store credit. each dollar spend is 1 point and equivalent to $0.05 so you get around $20 credit for your next purchase. My last purchase also include free installation by a professional fitter so I think its standard but you better ask. Thats another $50 worth there.
