  • Any real world reviews from fellow Ozbargainers on this?

    • Wanna know too, the price is tempting

No but from the photos, those castors are the el cheapest of nasty.

that thing would wobble and shake no matter how tight you get those adjuster wheels.

      1/10

      • Yeah seems that way. Very mixed reviews using my google-fu.

I wouldnt mind a new desk with ability to stand without paying a fortune.

but each time seems like you will need to empty the table top before u make adjustment to the height. i domt think and cant see anything you can rotate the wind it up/down. price is tempting but PERSONALLY i will stay away from it. just my 2c.

        • Ikea has a mechanical sit/stand desk thats pretty solid:

      • I'm tempted just to get it and just not use the casters.

Looks like one of the better cheap and nasty tables.

Hope this helps the ozb fence sitters

I can't confirm if this is the same as the one I have but the pictures looks identical. For $50, I think it is a major major major go. For me its a spare desk so I use it only on days I need aircon and need to be inside.

Some thoughts - yes adjusting the height is a pain in the arse and I only do it without any load. There is no way of telling if it is level as there are no markers on the adjusters so I usually have my spirit level close by. Setting up took an hour or so and is pretty easy. I wouldn't wheel or move it with load - my load for reference is a 28" screen (not a new light one - relatively heavy imo), laptop, keyboard mouse and phones - that weight alone I don't feel comfortable wheeling or moving the desk - when loaded, an inch here or there is the most I move it.

Once I start using it as a stand up desk, I don't bother taking it back down to sit position or vice versa. I have to get the mrs to help me as loosening the bolts when there is weight on the desk as it can often lead to a sudden jerk … down there!
