And pay $74/m after 3 month… no thanks.

This may appeal to those who want sport

    Nah, $5 a month works out better…

    • How?

        • +3

How exactly does that help non Telstra customers like myself that uses Boost?

          • @Borg: I'm on Boost too.

            • @jv: Ok, so how does one get the $5 deal as one cannot get the Telstra deals via Boost or am I missing something?

              • @Borg:

one cannot get the Telstra deals via Boost

Many people have successfully subscribed to the $5 deal using Boost. Read through the comments in that thread.

                • @jv: Thread Link please.

                    • @jv: Thanks.
Yeah I got that going a year ago (AFL etc) but didn't permit some specials. I will revisit and see what shows up. Did you get it (assuming you have an interest in Kayo)?

                      • @Borg:

                        Did you get it

It didn't work on my Boost account, but it did for others…

I used the offer of a friend with Telstra who didn't want Kayo, just applied the offer to my Kayo account instead of theirs…

                        • @jv: I have a feeling I checked back then as have used Kayo (on and off) for a couple of years. Deal didn't show up or work for me. Will revisit it as will need Kayo again with F1 & MotoGP seasons about to commence at end of March. Tks.

                          • @Borg: Try activating it from your phone.

Remove the Kayo app, and log off your Telstra app (if you have one)
                            Turn off wifi
Click on the deal link from the post.
Select activate deal 'using your phone' (not the Telstra ID option)
                            and see if it works.

Mine kept switching to the $15 offer at this point while other Boost users got the $5 deal…

                            • @jv: Thanks for those Tips. Will report back

History: I remember last year getting AFL or whatever sports they offered for free via Mobile working on my Phone (using Boost). Never used it though!

                              • @Borg: @JV:
No go for me. "Sorry, there are no offers associated with your Telstra ID".
I now need to work out how I accessed the "AFL Live Pass" which did work back then……..it was a round about way. I also used a "Free Kayo Trial" using my Mobile number and if this offer was only for "new users" then would rule me out regardless.
Will have a play later but don't think it will work.

Thanks jv. Just signed up. Had forgotten about this deal.

Plus I’m sure it will be still packed with commercials.

    • +1

      packed with commercials.

That's the best part of Foxtel !!!

  • First, Charlie left Foxtel, now Shaynna…

It's not the same anymore… Time to say good bye…

    NO!

If we don't sign up the government will just find an excuse to give them millions again and if we don't sign up then the government paid $40 million dollars on women's sport for nothing!
And I know what you're thinking, "Why not use the 3 or 4 ABC channels we have to make women's sport accessible to everyone" but… shut up about that…

      • Someone has to give them something for positive coverage.

what positive about lying about important issues 24/7 every day?

People die as a consequence of shit decisions inspired by professional liars.

mate getting negged on this site usually involve some right wing faction so you must be doing something right. Enjoy your ability to comment before you lose it soon….

        • -1

I'm right wing, so it'll be the left wing stalkers trying to prove their right over something that is totally irrelevant to them :D

          • +1

@Danstar: maybe you upset your fellow trumpettes or they thought you changed sides?

Right wingers are well known to be quick to change sides when their monies are involved…

            • +1

@petry: Right wingers usually don’t change sides. They usually stay on the side of facts and common sense 😉

              • @Danstar: You must be incredibly rich and wealthy or not question what you read and vote against your own interests if you're right wing.

              • -1

@Danstar: you're not a historian are you….you only have to look at the recent capital hill insurrection for the truth….

                • @petry: LOL. 1 incident in the USA vs. how many in the rest of the modern world ?

                  • +1

@Danstar: the list is so long its pointless going on since historical fact is of no interest to haters..

                    • @petry: So only one side has a 'list'?

                      • @Danstar: yeah most lefties are largely boring and don't radically change because they don't believe money buys everything….

                        • -1

@petry: They just believe their opinions are correct and not facts, and want money for doing nothing at all

                          • @Danstar: lefties will readily quote facts that stand up - righties generally post assertions that fold when analysed eg liberal tax cuts

                            • @petry: Haven’t watched the abc lately have you?

And you’re very fast to accuse one side of being basically always wrong vs. the other as never wrong

                              • @Danstar: 'For the first time in American history, the 400 wealthiest people paid a lower tax rate than any other group'. trump

The cap for annual concessional super contributions is being increased from $25,000 to $27,500, the cap for non-concessional (after tax) contributions is going up from $100,000 to $110,000, and in the richest windfall of the changes, the tax-free transfer balance cap is jumping by $100,000 to $1.7 million.

Part-time workers will score a measly $255-year under the tax cuts the Morrison Government is considering bringing forward but the wealthy including Prime Minister Scott Morrison will ultimately secure a stunning $11,640-a-year windfall.

Wealthy families on six figure salaries are on track to secure huge windfalls worth up to 20 times the value of low income and part-time workers under the legislated tax cuts by 2025.

there is no trickle down effect, the emperor and his court get richer, and the poor get relatively poorer.

the abc is a government funded agency pushing out government propaganda.

                                • -1

@petry: Political persuasions aren’t only from the USA

And the abc is the most bias media/journalistic agency in Australia

Even though they are meant to be unbiased

                                  • @Danstar: no - public perception based on rightwingers making that assertion publically is all.

to persuade people that the abc is unbiased is important to sell shit - the guardian's no different.

if you want some real facts both are pretty useless now - both rotted out by greed and political force.

    Down with the whatever-archy!

  • Funnily enough I signed up yesterday for a free 10 day trial because I couldn’t be bothered downloading shows.
Really struggle to see how they will get people to sign up for that price per month but then again I’m not into sports or movies so maybe people who are are willing to pay more.

Given their subscription numbers, it's probably not just you.

  • I tried clicking to subscribe but at sign up it said the deal only included the pop pack and lifestyle for $25. Seems like the website isn't working correctly for the deal. Anyone else getting the same?

  • Don't think it's for new customers only. I used to have a subscription and got an email with the same offer to return/come back.
