I've never had an issue with shopback tracking my first choice purchases.

      • +8

thats not a valid response to neg. getting sick of this crap. ive never had a problem too.
        mods please adjust

edit i am sure the brigade will come 'but they gave away your data'..guess what. the government is currently hording your data too. where are the people in the streets getting angry about that?
at least they fixed the issue. im sure there are many companies that loose your data and are very quiet about it unless they get caught.

Like Catch.. who took 3 years to tell anyone. Have not and will not buy anything from them ever again thanks to their handling of that.

        • +4

Isn't even about the data breach. 3 times it hasn't tracked. 3 times got rejected on the missing cashback claim.

          • +1

@elitistphoenix: I've used almost every one of these First Choice promos and every one has tracked. Maybe you should try a different browser.

            • @jorf: almost?
              I've tried different browsers.

              • @elitistphoenix: As in I haven't bought stuff -every- time they offer these cashbacks. I'm not a complete alcoholic. Every time I -have- purchased with the cashback offer, it tracked without problems. If it's not working for you consistently, you're probably doing something wrong.

            maybe its just you.

            • @cumova: Not saying other things don't track. They usually do and my earnings aren't bad either. It's just this store.

            • +1

@cumova: No need to post your ShopBack info here. It's already on the open web.

        • mods please adjust

Whoa! Settle down, please, Karen. We'll get the manager for you ASAP.

where are the people in the streets getting angry about that?

Sorry, that's a pathetic strawman argument.

We're taking about ShopBack, a company that has targeted OzBargain users for years. A company that continues to show contempt towards its v̶i̶c̶t̶i̶m̶s̶ users (and prospective ones) here - and elsewhere. If they were "in the streets" pulling this sort of shit, you'd find people would respond in kind.

at least they fixed the issue

There have been NO independent forensic expert reports released off the back of their data breach. What makes you think they have "fixed the issue"?

im sure there are many companies that loose your data and are very quiet about it unless they get caught.

You know this statement/observation/musing is utterly meaningless, right? You're talking about companies with no integrity whatsoever and, if/when they get caught, they'll be treated with the contempt they deserve. Shopback has been flip-flopped between shady and inept for years and their approach to a serious data breach was the final straw for me, and some others.

Keep using ShopBack as much as you like. Doesn't worry me in the least. But please under

Use the mobile app, disable any ad blocking, and use mobile data if you have any network ad blocking (pi hole etc).
Everything's tracked for me since taking this approach.

I am in agreement with OP. Didn't track BWS order and shopback takes no responsibility to explain why it did not track in their app:

"There are quite a few reasons why these orders may not be attributed to ShopBack. This includes:

      1. If a user clicks on a Honey, Cashrewards, or another chrome extension after clicking from ShopBack
      2. If other web pages (including search sites, social media, store sites, promotional/discount sites) or web browsers are opened after clicking through ShopBack
      3. Clicking through to another page from a banner, pop-up, or advertisement on the store’s webpage whilst shopping
      4. Antivirus/Cleanup or Adblocker applications block or disrupt cashback tracking (Tracking cookies are required to track transaction)
      5. When the order falls under the merchant’s exclusions, including the use of promo codes not listed on ShopBack."

Mine just tracked, $23.86 saved. Guess you were wrong.

also $10 off $100 via Amex if you were targeted.

      • Yes. That's correct.

    • +1

Nice. I'll put this in the description

    • This will also be one of my participating stores for the "$5 Bonus with $10 Spend each at 2 Different Stores" promo

  • I haven't had any issues lately, other than the 20% Under Armour last night with Cashrewards which only tracked like 8% rather than 20>

First time for a while, i just use a clean browser and search what I want and add it directly and just proceed with the checkout.

It's easy to forget if you've left 1 item in the cart, it won't track! My main browser is Chrome, so I use IE as it's standard.

    • Worked for me (as 20%), and got tracked within 5 mins too…

  • Is this 2pm - 6pm EDT or EDST. I'm guessing that it is from 1pm Qld time ?

  • 20% yesterday at Liquiorland (yes, it tracked)

    Today this.

Can't keep up. Good job I always need booze.

  • Also, can get a coupon code for an extra 10% off $50 spend from the little birdie site (comes pretty much straight away) https://www.littlebirdie.com.au/
I haven’t had an issue using codes not on ShopBack and still getting cash back but it may vary for others? Also use your team member code if you work for coles, will all stack!

Use 30 mins in total of your time with back and forth emails with Debra to be denied or possibly get a few $$$ cashback….

    and your details leaked.

  • Can you use the shopback offer more than once?
For example, buy one box of beer, get 2000 bonus points flybuys and 25% cashback. Then buy another box of beer on the same shopback account with a different flybuys card to get another 2000 bonus points. Total shopback % needs to stay under $20 cap.

  • Cap has now increased to $25. I'd suggest taking a screenshot just in case

  • why isnt this coming up on the front page?

  • You have to do your homework and compare the prices between Dan and First Choice before buying. I was looking at cognac prices and Uncle Dan is much cheaper.

    For example: https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/spirits/martell-blue-sw…

at First Choice is $ 110

    https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_815651/martell-blue…

    at Dan is $ 88.

    However, I reckon FC is still cheaper if you can make this combo works. Shopback 25% cashback + Flybuys bonus points + Amex deal = $ 110 (ex-GST) - $ 25 (25% cashback) - $ 10 (Flybuys spend $ 50 online) - $ 10 (Flybuys spend $ 100 on selected product) - $ 10 Amex deal = $ 55 per bottle.

    Is my calculation correct?

    • Currently Dan Murmurphy eBay store is running the 20% off afterpay promotion as-well, despite your exampled product is out of stock. But the discount is instant. Yes, I agree. Most of the cases, Uncle Dan is the cheapest.

    • Plus your cashback might be declined by shopback:)

  • Thanks, combined with 2000 PTS on $50 spend and a targeted 1000 PTS on $50 spend. 1l Jim beam for around $25

  • Glenfiddich 15 comes to a very nice $66.14 after cashback and 3000 flybuys points. Great for a mid-week tipple.

  • 25% plus 2,000 Flybuys with $50 spend

Wynns Black Label Cab Sav 2012 for $99 excluding CB. Amazing price at $75 for 3 bottles for 2012! They also have 2015, which are highly rated years.

I spose can't beat $17 from Boozebud for 2018 tho! Apparently they ship 2015 out of Sydney tho!

  • +1

seems like the additional 2000 bonus flybuy points is only for 4 products?

Or for me it is when i click into the T&C's.

    https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/specials/promo-terms-an…

made a whiskey purchase over $100, only got the 2000 flybuys points. had amex targetted offer and hopefully cashback tracks soon.

    • Happened to me as well, on the order confirmation page it said I had only earned 2000 points. I got a bottle of regular Jameson's and stout cask Jameson for a total of $100, both of which were on the eligible products list/pages. Previously the eligible items has been a long list similar to how it is this time. Gonna screenshot the listings just in case

I've used similar promos from 1st choice before and they've always hown the correct amount of points on the order ending page. Not sure what's going on, but I'll be keeping an eye on my points tracker and whether the cashback goes through before picking up my booze.

  • Also check your flybuys accounts for extra points offers to stack.

  • Has anyone’s purchase tracked yet?

    • +1

      No. Been 5.5 hours.

      • UPDATE: Tracked after 10 hours. Got the full $25.

  • Not me yet either. I'm fairly confident it will as I've never had an issue, particularly when going through the app

    Edit: just tracked full $25

  • got mine - 2 hours earlier than yesterdays

  • Just tracked too. Full amount of $25. Noice!

  • I spent $99 and tracked $22.50

    • Exactly 25%
