  • How is this for gaming as it’s flat and huge?

Some people not used to sit too close.

I've got a 34inch widescreen ROG monitor so I can attest to what widescreen gaming is like. For some titles it's awesome, creates a very cinematic experience. I have it not even half a metre from my face and it's fine.

As for this particular monitor, 75 refresh rate in 2021 is pretty low. Might as well go something like the 32 inch G7 or the 27 inch one.

      • I got the Dell 27 S2721d, worth update to this one?

        • depends on what you need, not really an upgrade but ultrawide is better for media comsuption like watching 21 x 9 movie, or if you want to use mulpitble applications side by side, but the S2721D is a great basic 2k monitor with IPS display, so the colour might be better

          • @ozvictor: Mainly gaming, office works, and watching YouTube. Decision decisions……..

            • @Aerith-Waifu: Xiaomi ultra wide or gigabyte ultra wide is better for gaming due to its higher refresh rate

        • I wouldn't. I saw a gigabyte 34 ultra wide for around $550. Better refresh rate and response rate than this and the xiaomi and has built in speakers

  • Is anyone else getting their purchases capped at 600? I have 3 ebay accounts, all wont let me buy anymore after spending approx. 600.

    Any ideas??

    • I spent 800 on a new monitor. Had no issue.

$600 is the afterpay credit limit I believe.

      • What does credit limit mean? Why do you think this wouldnt be working? I think the daily limit was 2k.

Im trying to buy 2 monitors but won't let me. Ugh. Now i have to spend another monitors worth on vouchers haha

    This for general office use?

    • For sure, if you think ultrawide is for you

      • Yeah tough call, I do use programs mostly in windows and not full screen etc. It is nice to have dual monitors for quick snapping to full screen when required however.

        • I have 34” LG ultra wide. It’s great for having three open windows/documents side by side by side.

I also love the simplicity eg one mount, one cable etc. I used to have two 24” and prefer the one ultra wide setup. Nice and clean look.

But at the end of the day, it all comes down to your use case scenario.

          Hope this helps.

  • This or wait for the xiaomi? I’m using this for office use and exams that only allow a single display.

    • For office and exams probably not much of a difference. However, Xiaomi has better refresh rate and warranty.

  • Should be able to pick afterpay and pay with a giftcard of $400 from woolies. Woolies ebay card link here

shopback 5% off swap card even better

      • They are sold out now. Only $20 left and you can only use 7 at a time I believe.

  • For an extra $200 you can get a curved version:

  • Thanks OP. I was having selection fatigue over what screen to buy for my wife's trading use.
This one just work nicely for her good old surface.

  • This or the Dell S3221QS? I do realise the Sammy is 34 Ultrawide QHD. Just wanting to justify spending $389 on a 32 4k for office work 😆

    • Got the boss the Dell 32 and it's awesome. Really useful if you look at very large drawings or side by side documents. Probably not great if you're coding
