    Can anyone comment on the usability and sound quality of the Axis? The android auto is the important part for me as I don't use iphone.

      Honest run-down:

      • Sony's are great plug and play units. Their build quality and features are perfect for those who just want something that works
      • Kenwood's are for those that care about the sound quality and processing - the sound nerds
      • Pioneer's are a little of both

      In terms of what we've got on sale at the moment, the DMX8020s would be my choice all day every day, but the Sony's, you just can't go wrong.

      Also, keep in mind that wireless Apple CarPlay is pretty much unavailable in-country at the moment due to stock shortages. The Kenwood DDX9020DABs is your best bet, but at $950, it may be out of budget for most.

      The dashcams include installation, the Audio Visual does not. Like it says at the bottom of the post, please email us for an installation quote.

          Yes, the offer isn't a price difference on the unit, the offer is the free installation.

    If anyone/op has a recommendation for units with wireless Android Auto, I'd appreciate the help. I have a 2012 Toyota sat-nav unit at the moment, with basic steering wheel controls.

      Like it says in the post, wireless options are limited in-country right now. The Kenwood DDX9020DABs is pretty much your option, but at $950, it's a premium one.

        Thanks for the reply. It's distracting not having a functional phone connection - which can be costly too. For that Kenwood, what else is required for installation in a Toyota Tarago 2007 (ultima with reversing camera)? It currently has a 2012 Toyota sat-nav head unit. I'm not sure about fascia issues, let alone steering wheel control integration, so would appreciate the help. Thank you.

    I’m new to changing the audio unit in my car… so if I get one and then get another car, how easy is it to uninstall the unit and put in the new car?
    Are uninstall services pretty much the same as installation services at a shop?

      Yes, you can take the units with you from car to car. The costs involved will be primarily the cost of fascia kits and adaptor harnesses for the cars. Each car requires a specific fascia kit and if you have steering wheel controls, each will need specific controls as well.

    I wish you offered the Sony XAV-AX3000 on sale without a camera. I don't need it and would prefer the price to be cheaper.

      To the best of my knowledge, at $495 we are the cheapest in the country - also with a free camera and shipping. I doubt we'll see any of the Sony range going any cheaper than this mark for a while.

      The free reversing camera is one of two Parkmate cameras. The CMD12N or the CMD14N.
