  • Question - if i don't have a USB-C port, can i just plug a USB-A adapter onto this and it will work?
I'm guessing power delivery won't work, but i don't need that.

    • No, it can not work like that.

  • Question for Rep - what frequency does this output at for 2K?

    Triple Display USB C HUB with 2 HDMI 4K@30HZ, 8 in 1 USB-C

    • +1

Not the rep, but I have the 'triple display' one - not sure about 2k, but it does 2x 1080p at 60hz.

    • 4k@30hz is generally HDMI 1.4/10GBPS so should do 144hz 1080p

      • I've never seen any USB C hubs that have specified 144Hz 1080p. Some of them state 4k@30Hz / 1080@Hz.

        • Yeah they’d state that which would lead you to the ports bandwidth capabilities, which 4k30/2k144 generally

  • Also, do these work for Microsoft Surface Pro 7? I purchased a different brand one recently, and it didn't work for the Surface Pro 7 (but did work for my Surface Book 2).

    • Yes, we checked it, and the USB C port is Type-c 3.1, it can work. Thank you

  • Does the second one work with MacBook Air M1?

    • +1

There have reports of M1s bricking with USB-C hubs that use power delivery. Not sure if they have fixed the issue yet, but I would avoid.

      https://www.reddit.com/r/macbook/comments/kge24m/dead_m1_mac…

      • Thanks, I will check it.

    • Yes, it works with MacBook Air M1, but please note only Windows system support MST (Multi Stream Transport), Mac OS does not support triple display(The Mac OS itself does not support split screen effect).

      • So single monitor variant (ASIN B08THKMKSN ) should work with MacBook Air M1 with a single monitor? Right?

        • Yes

  • Is there a hub that supports 2 4K displays at 60hz? The closest thing to this in this post only supports 2 displays at 30hz.

    • This one is 4k 60hz
USB C Hub, HARIBOL USB Hub with HDMI 4K@60Hz, 8 in 1 USB C Adapter with PD 87W, RJ45 Ethernet, USB Ports, PD Charging, SD/TF Card Reader for MacBook/Pro/Air (Thunderbolt 3) and Type C Windows Laptop

      • I know but that's just one display. As per my post, I'm looking for a hub that supports two 4k 60hz displays.

  • 4k@30hz ? I would pay more to have 60hz :)

Edited: I saw the 60hz one.

  • Is there a hub that is just usb and Card readers (don't need HDMI, RJ45, or PD charging)
and connect via USB A rather than usb c
Using it for my desk top.

    • Sorry, now do not have.
