I have version 2. Suddenly stops after cleaning half a room. Would not recommend. I read online that others had the same problem
A temporary fix is to reset device and reconnect it to wifi. Takes 10mins for setup process to complete. It worked. Robot vac cleaned whole floor this time.
1 week later. Original problem returned again.
How's your wifi coverage?
I have the V2 Pro too, it kept having this problem, unless I'd turn it off and on again every now and then - not a huge problem to me, just a nuisance. I realised though that it kept happening in a space that I already knew was a bit of a WiFi weak-point as it was the crossover between a couple of APs setup to just share SSID. I switched the SSID on one of them to see what'd happen - it seemed to solve the problem, so I ended up picking up a pair of Unifi APs to handle the SSID sharing and I haven't had a problem since.
No guarantees obviously, but some indicators there at a minimum I reckon - they seem to be quite susceptible to anything slightly abnormal in the network setup.I’m glad you fixed your problem with good wifi coverage. I have a good wifi signal from google mesh wifi but still have the Voimi V2 suddenly stop (not caught on anything).
I wasn’t aware wifi signal was required to perform the cleanup because I rarely use the app. I just press Clean in the vacuum.
Have the v2 too, my issue is reliability because 80% of the time it didn't finish it schedule and got stuck somewhere due to wire and piece around the house. Probably next time I get the one with camera to solve this.
the bigger issue with xiaomi is probably due to the buggy app, take ages to load the map status and sometimes it just did not load at all.
Any obstacles would hinder the cleaning. Just like if you drive into a pedestrian only zone.
You need to toddy it up or set up virtual walls & zone to avoid it.

Bought for $399.20 during the recent AfterPay sale. IMO the side brush has a design flaw as both the original and spare side brushes broke within the first week.
Viomi's side brush is not secured with a screw like other brands' side brush, it's just pushed into place. To fix this, I drilled a small hole in the center of the brush and screwed it to the vacuum with my own screw.
Hey, sorry, a bit off topic. But why does everyone begs to "be easy on them"? What's the go with that?
