    The terms & conditions here:

    http://samsung.com/au/offer/galaxy-a-series/terms

state that you don't get the free Buds Live if you buy from the Education Store, or the other EPP stores like staff and government portals etc. Full list of retail stores that are eligible are listed there

  • What would be the closest comparison to a Pixel 5?

    • +1

      I'd probably say the A52 5g.

If you don't have access to EPP, you could get JB GC's from NIB for 7% off, buy it for retail and sell the Bonus Buds Live for like $250?
So you'll essentially get it for $446

      • Is this available to non non customers like me? Thanks

        • assuming you are talking about the GC discount, check your Private health, bank rewards benefits or cashback sites.

    • -2

I would say A72. Reason being it's the only one at the moment with guaranteed 3 OS Update policy. Only S, Note and Fold get that.

  • Not sure if I should purchase now or wait 1-2 months to see if prices will come down….

  • Anyone had any luck with the $50 sign up code?

    • Haven't received my email yet - debating buying without it

    • Also dont forget, the A72 has x30 zoom, whereas the others dont.

    • +2

also that A52 5G is the only 5G device + 3yr OS updates and 4yr Security support

    • +1

      A52 5G also has an 8GB / 256GB model

  • Tough choice between A52 5G vs A72

    • Do you need 5G? Are you OK with 6.7" over 6.5"? 8GB over 6GB ram and 5000mAh battery do you use a lot daily?

  • +1

This deal may be better than the full retail RRP with bonus Buds Live. If you check Facebook marketplace, there's a lot of people selling them for $100-$150. Plus Kogan have them for $139 delivered, so your luck may vary in selling these.

  • price match?

  • Need a membership right?

    • You just need a .edu.au email address

      • +1

I wish I have…sad… I am too old to get that kind of email address.

  • +1

Looks like all are single sim models… bummer

    • +1

Checked with online chat that the A72 is dual SIM and they said yes.

  • Choice between A32 vs A52 4g for my mum?…She mostly uses youtube, whatsapp and calling.

    • Go cheapest for sure.

  • What's the trade in value for a Galaxy S8 (mint condition)

    • $55 for mine (in mint condition too)

      • +1

        Hurts haha

        • +1

Yeah my S8 is still decent, just a bit slow on some websites with an annoying click/respond delay. It still hasn't aged nearly half as badly as my previous mid tier phone did. Personally Id much rather keep the S8 as a backup phone than get a $55 discount.

          • +1

@Dungeon Master: Maybe keep the S8 for a bonus trade in like additional $300 or even $500 for flagship Samsungs

  • $600 for the A52 5G is quite good given the specs.

Is it worth upgrading to the A52 5G from a S10e?

    • If 120hz screen and 5G internet speeds are important to you. That said the processing power in the S10e is no slouch compared to mid-range phones like the A52.

Not to mention, the A52 5G gets 3 year guaranteed Android version updates and 4 years of security updates as opposed to the S10e that's approaching its end of support.

    • I wouldn't say so unless you really want the 5G or software support.

  • I have an edu email so logged in to buy the A52 5G on the Samsung edu site. It did not give the $50 off at checkout so I went onto chat and asked why?
The chat guy (Connor) asked when I had registered that edu email etc. He did some stuff. Apparently, I am to wait and get an email from Samsung for the $50 discount within 24 hours so wait I shall. Hoping to buy the A52 5G for $549.20 if the discount email comes through.

    • Try calling them during business hours, last year when I bought the A51 at launch I didn't get the email after 3 days. A call to the help centre and they issued a new email with the code. Hopefully yours will come through with no issues!

    • How did you go? I have the code but it’s coming up as invalid

  • I am with Boost Mobile. I don't think BM supports 5G at the moment. Would you guys still consider A52 5G if you are with BM?

    • +1

Yeah it’s A52 5G is a good deal for the price.
If you plan on using the phone for more than couple of years then you can use the 5G in the future.

Samsung online store review is atrocious with 1.4/5. This seems like a good deal but I'm kinda scared with these reviews. Do people here agree or disagree with these reviews?

    • it kept kicking me to the main store and removing shit from my cart. I'm hoping it ships ok

      • I ordered it and it shipped fine. No problems so far. I think the online reviews were for the support after they send stuff in to get it fixed.

  • No more stock on the A52 5G :(
