Bonus $50 Rebel Sport Voucher with Purchase of MS Office 2010

160

Bonus $50 Rebel Sport voucher by redemption with purchase of MS Office 2010. Saw this on a Harvey Norman TV ad - they currently sell the Home and Student Family Pack for $128 (http://www.harveynorman.com.au/homepage/microsoft-office-hom…) as do DSE.

Home and Student edition offers Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote.

I still have to check on this, but it may potentially be able to be combined with the DSE deal (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/60976) which expires shortly.

The following terms and conditions are printed on the Harvey Norman website:

Terms and Conditions
Bonus $50 Rebel Sport Gift Card

Offer ends 12 March 2012. Bonus is via redemption from the supplier. Various postage and handling fees may be applicable in order to receive the bonus and are dependent on the supplier’s offer. Register online at http://officemac.m0.co.nz/. Terms and conditions apply.

Note that there may be "postage and handling fees" to claim the card, which may put a slight downer on this deal.

More info: http://officemac.m0.co.nz/RebelSport/Promotion

Limited to first 8,500 claims and expires 12 March.

This is a different offer. DSE are offering a bonus DSE powerboard (I assume received at the same time of purchase). This is a bonus $50 Rebel Sport voucher redeemed from Microsoft.

The T&Cs say you must purchase the software "from a participating retailer", which I suspect DSE probably is. Therefore, I suspect you may be able to combine the two (prior to the DSE offer expiring) to receive a bonus powerboard as well as a $50 Rebel Sport voucher.

damn I just realised you are the guy who posted it on the forums. I remember reading about it and forgot if it was DSE or HN. Pos'd for the effort :)

        • Yeah i wasn't sure I saw it right on the TV, so had to wait til I found more info online.

  • The big question is if this can be used with this. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/60976 ?

From the T&C I have gathered it should work.

EDIT: From the redemption form you can purchase it from DSE. But for the field for product it doesn't list MS Office Student 3 user edition. hmm….

EDIT2: Yeh it should work since the MS office student edition 3 user is the same as MS office student family edition. So this makes this deal a super deal. This would be the first time I purchase office.

The office website is a co.nz domain - will it work with Aussie purchases of Office?

    • Thats what i noticed first. But why would an NZ promotion state this "Starts 9am (Syd time) 16/1/12 & ends 11.59pm (Syd time) 12/3/12. Open to Aust. residents only. " So it's definitely an aussie promo.

    • is it a legit site for the claim?

      • What do you mean? If you mean can you purchase it from DSE , then yes.

      • It's a site linked from the aus microsoft site so I assume yes.

Same question asked when I saw the deal!

  • This website: www.microsoft.com.au/rebel redirects to the website mentioned above.
The subdomain mentioned in this deal looks fishy - m0.co.nz (m"zero" and not mo),
It has some legit looking " NSW Permit No. LTPS/11/11665 SA Permit No. T11/2635"

http://www.m0.co.nz/ is a web designing website
    Retravision has this:
    http://www.retravision.com.au/promotions/268/Microsoft_Rebel…

The Harvey Norman website is down for maintenance.

Overall looks legit except for the subdomain.

Add: read the fine print: . First 8,500 claims receive 1x $50 Rebel Sport Gift Card. All claims receive 1x Rebel Sport Discount Voucher of 5% off $50 spend or 10% off $100 spend

Odd that Microsoft needs a 3rd party to design a website for them.

I would have thought this was too fishy too, but Harvey Norman advertised it on TV and their website, plus your Retravision link above. This is definitely legit.

      • Usually it's a marketing company hired to take care of it hence the third party web developers

    • .

  • Great deal. there is a lot of paranoia on ozb

  • how long does it take to get the voucher?
