  • Got these for free from Telstra. I still think I over paid

    • I think they're good value at $79, and even better at $68. What other product are you getting a W1 chip in for less than this?

  • What’s the difference with beats x? Newer version?

    • Yep, it's a newer version. The main functional differences are USB-C, longer battery life, and auto-pause/play.

      • Not auto-play.
Does have auto-pause but only when you connect the buds to each other via magnet. (Not when you take one out of your ears.)

I like mine well enough but it's not the best designed product imo.

        • The auto-play should kick in when you pull the buds apart.

    • Does not have the wing tips that the beats X came with. For me personally I need to use the wing tips otherwise the beats X falls easily out of my ear. Unfortunately, the beats flex does not work with the beats X wing tips because they have a slightly different shape.

  • I believe Officeworks only price beat advertised prices and not checkout coupons etc.

That's only true if you have to enter a coupon yourself, whereas this offer applies automatically in the cart.

Officeworks honoured their PBG for me earlier today.

      • Still not the advertised price and more of a automatic coupon at checkout.

I guess it's more of a lucky dip of who you deal with at officeworks, but I wouldn't say it should be in the title as it not 100%

Nowhere on the PBG webpage does it indicate that it needs to be an "advertised price". Officeworks simply looks for identical items that are in stock with a competitor (even if it's on sale).

In this particular case, I took a screenshot of the item in my cart, showed it to the staff, they verified it on their end, and then applied the PBG. This is not the first time I've done a price beat with Officeworks in this way (i.e., with discounts applied only in the cart), and have had success at multiple stores.
