saw these online for $109 at jeanswarehouse so I think $47 Is a good price as I paid $50 US for a pair a few months ago

Good price, on par with purchases in USA. Although I doubt the shade/colour of the jeans will be trendy/fashionable.
Colours are the only variation (if you don't count tab colours) afaik since 501 dictates the button fly/straight leg.
Those for $50 looks pretty old. (old as in old people's jeans)
which is my point exactly - 501's have 'current' fabrics which will go for more than those with the 70's style denim. So it is still possible for some 501's to look fugly.
Although I have no idea what the costco ones look like.
Button fly - fail. I have a pair of jeans with buttons…….worst decision ever. Especially when youre trying to button back up.
In contrast, I am totally happy for a metal zip to be nowhere near that region.
501 is crap. 511 is much better. we get absolutely RIPPED OFF for Levis' here in Aus, they cost $40-$80 for nearly all styles in the US.
511 and 514 are more on trend at the moment.
I got 501's for under $10 at the Levis outlet at harbour town Docklands in Melbourne on one of their 50% off days
