Hey can someone recommend a decent but cheap set of RGB light strips to put under my desk. Desk is 1.8m so don't really need a huge 5m roll.
Something with an AU plug or USB powered would be fine
There's alot out there so just after something someone has bought and can vouch for.
I don't really know what I should be looking for in a set of lights. It would be good if I could change the lights individually but for a cheap budget I don't expect that to really be on the cards.
Just get the 5m and double it back on itself to improve the brightness

which is normally $12, had a $5 eBay voucher so it was 7 bucks. It's not amazing but it does the job - comes with a little remote, can connect to bluetooth as well but not wifi.
If you want to change each LED individually it's called an individually addressable light strip and will cost a lot more. Also note that this one has 3 LED colours on it and white is made by having all 3 on at once. Some more premium ones have 3 colours + white for a better white, but again cost more.
I'm happy with my $7 strip.

For under desk illumination, probably best to go with cheap and cheerful and wind it around the perimeter as probably don't need the smartphone control.
