    Very cheap

  • Cheers OP. Been waiting for a deal on this one.

  • Too late saying 100% claimed for me. :(

    • Yup all gone….

    • Damn, I missed it

is there some way to search for a lightning deal?

  • +2

I just got through on the waitlist, so it is worth hanging on the page in case it pops up for you!

    • Add one via waiting list, tried to use SB, waitlist expired :(

      • Pretty sure it is 0% cashback for Electronics on both ShopBack and Cashrewards.

You have something like 2 mins to put it in you cart when the waitlisted pops up, then 15 minutes to purchase once in cart.

        • Damnit. Joined the waiting list again about 20 minutes ago… nothing yet.

FYI - 2% cashback on ShopBack gift card portal

          • @gobsmax: 2% gift cards can be bought anytime, normal cashback rules don’t apply.

For next time, add to cart first, then purchase the discounted gift cards and pray they arrive before the cart expires. In this instance, for an extra ~$4 off it’s not really worth the effort.

  • Waitlist full

More stock has been added… from 100% claimed it's not back down to 66% claimed…

  • And goneski…

    Ed. Nope more added…

Is this a worthwhile upgrade from the A119S?

    • Really depends if you want the rear camera. Also the app is good for wifi access to video but does take time to transfer video files. The A119s is great quality and not sure if worth upgrading on picture quality alone.

  • Got one, thanks OP!

  • Wow… I bought this 9 days ago at $239.90, and I thought that was a good deal.

I was about to do the same. This is one of those rare times procrastinating worked out for the best.

  • What are the main differences between this one and the Pro Duo? Is the extra cost worth on the Pro Duo?

    • +1

The Pro is 4K, the Plus is 2K. Obviously 4K chews up more space on your memory card.

Some say the Plus is the right balance of quality vs. cost.

      • +1

        i have the Plus.
it IS the right balance of quality vs cost,
however with the 4K you can get clearer pictures (at night too),
eg. zooming into licence plates is better on 4K.

  • I just changed my mind, so there might be one available again.

Apparently the Buffered Parking mode doesn't work on the Plus, so that was enough for me to baulk.

  • Bought, thanks OP!

As I missed the last 70mai A800S deal, so I jumped on this. From my understanding the only positive this has is motion detection recording, a super capacitor in comparison to a battery in the A800S, and better image quality recording albeit at a lower resolution?

  • I want to buy but I am afraid I won’t be able to install myself, does anyone know if I buy from where I can get this installed ?

    • Commenting to stay on this chain :)

    • I also would like to know this. This camera is going into a brand new car so I want it done properly by a professional, hard wired direct to the battery. I picked up one of the wiring kits for $28.50 off eBay as well.

    • It's a pretty straight forward install using the 12v cigarette lighter. Pretty much plug and play (you'll have to run the wires). If you want to hard-wire it then you need to pick up this kit. There will be some youtube videos to guide you, or else you can go to a professional to get it installed. It might cost you around $100-$200 to get it installed by a professional.

Just a heads up - sounds like buffered parking mode was removed from the A129 Plus in recent firmware updates. Not clear if that is temporary or not.

    "IMPORTANT

January 2021 - It has been brought to our attention that the VIOFO A129 Plus and A129 Plus Duo no longer support buffered parking mode recording.

Learn more about these changes on our blog."

    • What does buffered parking mode do?…

    • thank you for posting that.

i got my Plus about a year ago,
and since then, i never got the "Buffered Parking" to work.

i always thought it was my way of setting up,
and then i left it as-is.

i am disappointed to know that it has been removed,
but it is good to know, the manufacturer thought it was buggy.

  • Showing as in stock but $238 for me!

    • Gone oos now

  • How does this compare to Blackvue?
Does it still work OK when engine off?
What are people paying for pro install ?

Does anyone know if this dashcam does auto transcoding to MS Paint for when I have a crash?

  • Sorry for the newbie question ,does any of these type of cameras include a reversing camera for normal parking?

    • No they don't include a reverse camera. Its only used for recording while driving as a dash cam.

      • Cheers no worries

  • Back in stock just ordered

    • Better check moderator comment above

    • Please check the update above. It's now being sold by a third party seller for the same price.

      • What's wrong with the seller? Is it a scam

        • The moderator said that the seller has been banned.

          • @CommandoGold: Yes and that doesn’t mean anything bad, Amazon has a very special way to solve bad orders being delivered if it’s not what is described just submit a refund free of costs. If your lucky you may keep the item as well as sellers won’t want it sent back. Mods tend to always delist as expired once the main company sells out and changes anyway.
