2090

Another free to keep game from GOG. Grab it while you can!

In a dystopia where wealthy capitalists control elections, media, and the lives of working people, we’re faced with two choices - accept it or fight for something better.

Tonight We Riot doesn’t have just one hero. Instead, you play as a movement of people whose wellbeing determines the success of your revolution.

Tonight We Riot is also free via itch.io.

Good price on the Witcher game as well. Cheaper if you VPN through Russia.

Another free game that I'll never play to add to the Library. Why not :)

When the communists and anarchists take over the world I'm sure they'll appreciate this one in your collection — or perhaps they'll be too busy queuing up for bread rations and dealing with electricity outages to play it!

I already own Witcher III: GOTY edition, bought it back when steam was doing $19.95 sales. Honestly one of the best games I've ever played in my life and one of the only games I would happily pay full retail price with no questions asked. If you're 50/50 on this game at this current deal, I'll be the extra 1% to push you to pull the trigger.

    • What would you say if I hated the Witcher 2 (I tried it three times but simply found it a chore)? Is Witcher 3 substantially different - and better?

As someone who hadn't played a Witcher game and who really isn't into this genre I bought it based on all the hype. The lore, graphics, story etc are all really great but at the end of the day I'm just not that into casting spells and stabbing shit. If you didn't like Witcher 2 I'd assume you won't be into 3 for the same reasons I didn't like it. Call me boring but I just prefer shooting people in the face.

        • +1 for the funny and honest last sentence!

It depends why it felt like a chore. The first main area in Witcher 2 can be pretty annoying to get around, and there are a number of unclear steps in quests that simply don't exist in the third game; at basically every step of every quest you know where you need to go and what you need to do to advance it. The first W2 bossfight is also a pain in the ass that doesn't really exist anywhere else in those two games. You have more control over your movement in W3 as well, since CDPR graciously granted Geralt the ability to jump in that edition. In basically every way, Witcher 3 is an upgrade over Witcher 2, and W2 isn't a bad game by any means, even if it can be clunky in places.

If it's more than that — if you simply don't enjoy the gameplay loop, then yeah, you probably won't enjoy Witcher 3. It's probably the best and most well-rounded game I've ever played — beautiful graphics, A+ character-driven story, amazing settings and map designs that make me feel like I'm actually in the story world — but if you don't like its genre you'll sadly not be able to get much out of it.

If you're still unsure I'd suggest finding a totally legal free download and giving it up to a few hours of your time before spending your money. At worst, you still don't enjoy it, in which case, oh well. At best you get into it and will have an amazing 100+ hour adventure ahead of you.
