Because it is from the UK. Are we able to get GST back if we leave Sydney airport? (I guess not - since they didn't pay GST here)

  • The price changed due to removal of VAT no?

  • Thanks for bringing that phone to my attention gopiky!
Googling for a similar priced but from Australia:

    $409 http://www.kogan.com.au/shop/HTC-evo-3d/
    Shipping is $19 to NSW
    Total is $428

  • Found one a bit better!
    http://www.smoothmobiles.com/au/htc-x515m-evo-3d-black.html
    $389.45 + $29ship Aust wide

    • Actually that is without warranty, they want an extra $40 for 12 months warranty, so Kogan is still cheaper.

  • silly how the aussie site of expansys is always more expensive than the others =\

  • Interesting that in specifications they claim this is quad band… If this is true than this is a bargain for people shopping for next-g compatible phones.

    • Quad-band only for 2g reception. 3g is 900/2100 MHz only - which excludes Telstra NextG

      • HTC web site says:
        WCDMA: 850/1900/2100 MHz
3G: Up to 14.4 Mbps download speed
Up to 5.76 Mbps upload speed
GPRS: Up to 114 kbps downloading
EDGE: Up to 236.8 kbps downloading

Thats the x515a variant, which comes in nextg flavour ( 850/2100 ), while this is the x515m model = 900/2100.
